2007 Honda Element SC - Rare 5-speed Manual - Low Miles: 49K Miles - WOW!
2007 Honda Element SC Sport Utility 4-Door Description
2007 Honda Element SCRare 5-speed manual transmission
This is a very low mileage Element SC in very nice condition. I spent nearly a year looking and waiting for a low mileage manual SC to come on the market. Having owned both manual and automatic SCs, I can say they are quit different cars, with the manual being far superior. The gear ratios on the manual and the ability to shift, at the rpm & timing you wish, make the car much more fun to drive. Also, it is possible to convert the gearbox to a 6-speed (adding an overdrive ratio) using 2006 Acura TSX parts.
This Element spent all of its life in either California or Florida until the past year, when I purchased it and brought it to the Indianapolis area. The car has not been driven in salty conditions and has no rust. I bought the car (this being my 4th Element) with the intent of it being my forever Element so I looked long and hard for a good one. And it is a good one. While the car has had three owners, it has only really had two as the first two were a father & son family and me being the second. Unfortunately, life situations change and now I need a different type of vehicle.
The car is not without some minor flaws, as can be expected with a 10 year old car. In full disclosure, I will do my best to note them here and have also tried to do so in the photos: A few parking lot door dings, a couple of fingertip-sized spots were the clearcoat seems to be wearing off on the hood, areas where the clearcoat is wearing off wheel rim machined finish, edge indentations (not really dents, more like creases) at the rear of the front doors caused by closing the rear doors on top of the front doors (a common Element problem), and one small chip in the windshield. I view all these flaws as part of normal wear and tear and totally expected with a car of this age. The car has no significant dents, dings, scratches, stains, etc. Also, just within the past month the passenger side electric mirror stopped working. I'm not sure if this is a mirror or switch problem, but reading forums online it sounds like a somewhat common problem.
The interior is in excellent condition and one of the best I have seen in any used Element. The front seat, which typically shows heavy wear is very good. The tailgate plastic surface is very good. The dash, center console area, armrest, door panels, headliner, etc. are all excellent.
The car has most all the available Honda accessories:FoglightsTailgate SpoilerCargo Carpet MatCargo Area Roll Top CoverMud Flaps - Front & RearCarpet Floor Mats (about a year old)Center Console Interior DividerOrange, matching color, Gearshift Knob
The tires have about 4K miles on them and the battery is about a year old. The cabin and engine filter have been changed and the car is in excellent running condition. The clutch is smooth and strong and the transmission shifts smoothly through all gears.
If you are an Element enthusiast, as I am, you will appreciate this SC.
This car is being driven daily so mileage will increase, although, I am making a concerted effort to keep total mileage below 50K. Also, the car is for sale locally and so this auction could end at any time.
