1979 Honda Civic 5-Door Wagon Description
I'm in Schaumburg, IL, 20 minutes to O'Hare Airport if you're flying in, I can pick you up there.
1979 Honda Civic CVCC 5-Door Wagon with Hondamatic 2-Speed Transmission. As of this posting, under 60,100 miles. I drive it a little each day.
These 1970's Honda Civics were built to last forever, and these are some of the most reliable and easy-to-maintain cars ever built.
Here is a video walk-around and startup: https://youtu.be/wLaZjRo6L0M
I bought it from the original West Coast owner.
Mechanically, it starts right up on the first try and drives great.
Very responsive rack-and-pinion steering. New tires and recent brakes.
Seat covers on the front seats since day one, so they look mint, as does the back seat. No cracks in the dashboard, all the gauges, buttons, switches look like new.
98% rust free, solid strut towers, and the underside is very clean.
Sale includes a very HEAVY-DUTY Dutton-Lainson towbar with receiver that's already installed on the front end of the car, so it's ready to tow behind your R/V or Moving Truck.
This car definitely turns heads on the road and at the gas pump. It's really a cool car to see driving down the street in 2017.
Original AM/FM Radio with those old-time push-button station selectors, and the radio works perfect. Nice sound.
All interior / exterior lights and signals work, rear window defroster, even the original cigarette lighter doesn't look like it was ever used, and the heater blows HOT. The horn works (sometimes).
Insurance is low on such a fun car to drive. Cheap to keep. Easily 300 miles between fillups on the highway and one of the easiest cars in the WORLD to park.
Brand new Battery.
Brand new Tires.
Brand new Brake Master Cylinder
New wiper blades and headlights.
Just had the oil changed.
Just had the radiator flushed.
Dutton-Lainson Heavy Duty Towbar package
All original paperwork, Owner's Manual, Radio Manual, Startup Instructions, etc.
Any questions? Just ask. Clean and clear title.
Of course with any old car, it's sold completely AS-IS with no warranties.
PAYMENT:
The $250 deposit through PayPal is NON-REFUNDABLE, so be sure you want to buy this car before agreeing to it. If you don't agree with this policy, don't agree to buy it. It's that simple.
The anticipated Ebay and PayPal fees have been added to the listing price and will be DEDUCTED from the final selling price IF paying either in $$$, certified or cashier's check or by the PayPal method just mentioned above. All forms of payment must be fully cleared and the money available before transfer of car takes place.
All major banks are within minutes of my house, and we can handle the entire transaction at your branch bank, or mine, for security purposes.
Local c. a. s. h. buyer preferred, but I will work with your shipper if you make all the arrangements and, of course, pay them yourself.
Thanks for shopping with me. :)
