1999 Honda Civic EX Description

Up for sale is a 1999 Civic EX Sedan in Flamenco Black Pearl. It’s a 5-speed manual and has the VTEC engine (d16y8) that gets great gas mileage. This car has it all. Power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, power sun/moon roof, power steering, power brakes, tilt, cruise control, A/C and keyless entry. This is my daily driver. I have taken well care of this car since I bought it in 2009 in Tampa, FL. I have all service records. The car is completely stock, never modified, raced or abused. I have the clean clear title in hand ready to be signed over to you.

Motor:

The motor is original and stock VTEC (d16y8). It just turned 151k. It runs great and strong and was never modified or raced. Oil changes done every 3000 miles. New timing belt, water pump, drive belts done at 102k. Along with other routine services done, I've add a AFE high flow air filter as well(washable and reusable). I've replaced the radiator and coolant flush myself in 2015. The 5spd tranny shifts smoothly in every gear. It starts right up every time and gets very good gas mileage as well. Honda motors are legendary for it reliability. They are known to run to 250k easily. However, there's a small leak from the power steering rack and pinion. It's not pouring out on the ground or anything, I usually fill in about 3/4 inch of fluid once a month to top it off. Other than that, it's all good.

Exterior:

Car comes in Flamenco Black Pearl. It has a factory spoiler as part of the EX package. I’ve added a set of factory style yellow fog lights for added visibility at night. It’s still in decent shape. It's got some minor blemishes from normal wear and tear given the car is 17 years old.

I was involved in a fender-bender in this vehicle in 2010. It was no major accident, mostly cosmetics. No airbag deployment, no engine damage, no structural or frame damage, car was drivable. Damaged was on right front corner. All damage and parts are professionally repaired by State Farm appointed body shop(Daytona Toyota collision center).

Wheels – 17x7 ICE five star silver alloys. Tires - Kumho 205/40/17.

There's a small dent on the front passenger rim. It does not affect driving, no shakes or nothing. Tires are still in good shape. They are routinely balanced and rotated at my local Discount Tires company.

Interior:

The interior is completely stock. The dash is clean and has no cracks. I don’t smoke so it’s never been smoked in. There are no tears on the seats. I’ve kept the interior pretty clean as I can't stand to have s**t all over the place like a slob. I’ve replaced the driver side window regulator myself. Windows are tinted. However, you can see from the pics that both rear window's tint began to peel at the center of the window. I've also upgraded the stock radio with a new factory Honda double din unit. These are ones Honda put in Accords. It fits perfectly and it's a 6-disc changer with cassette as well. Also upgraded are all the speakers.

Front – Boston Acoustics 6.5 component set with tweeter on door.

Rear – Boston Acoustics 6x9's on factory rear deck location. Sounds a hell of a lot better than those stock ones I tell ya...

That’s about it folks. This is a great little machine. It runs great and I really enjoy driving it. It can be your next tuner project, or a nice little first car for young students or as a commuter. It gets great gas mileage. I can fill the car up on around $19-21. Gas is creeping up again…and this car won’t break your pockets at the pumps… The car was always cared for, never raced, never modified, and never abused.
