Honda Lx-i hatchback 1988 Rare, one of a kind
1988 Honda Accord Description
Japan manufactured, not USA. 5sp. manual transmission. PurchasedApril'95 from a nurse I worked with at 101773 miles. From that point on it has never been driven in winter. It isn't driven in the rain. Never wrecked. It spent 3 years in my basement, (drive-in) during which I did an interior "make over" including complete sheet metal sound deadening with dynamat, and drive train maintainance. It has been driven around 43K miles since 1995. In the last 6 years since I retired I have put 4K miles on the car. It runs great, has cold air and with the sound system I installed it is a pleasure to take out for cruising while listening to whatever music you may like. I always referred to it as my "mobile sound lab". I have complete records for it. Most recently the clutch assembly with flywheel was replaced. New timing belt 8K miles ago. New brakes last summer. I don't have the time to drive it any longer. Please note CAR DOESN'T HAVE FEMALE HALF OF REAR SEAT BELT . This would make someone a fine daily driver or pleasure only car. Comes with extra wheel and tire. The paint and motor are original and have not been modified. As such the body surface has some door dings and minor chips that has always been touched up. The fuel door was creased when it was opened too far. I have a replacement. You could leave the car as is or drop in a B series V-tech engine and repaint it for a serious sport compact car. Ask any questions before bidding.
Sound system consists of:
Clarion DRZ 9255 head unitSystem is a 3 way configuration, no rear spkrs. Fronts are Rainbow Audio CS265 ProfiSubwoofer is a 10in. "SQ 10" by Image Dynamics in an sealed enclosure.Sub amp is a 2 channel D7152 Diamond audio, there's one being auctioned on ebay. I have it bridged at 4ohms putting out 600watts.Front speakers are powered by a Butler Audio TDB-475 that sends 75 watts into each of the 4 speakers. This is a "tube" amplifier not transistor. All the interconnects were made by me using the best components.Power for the amps is carried from the car battery to the rear using 4 gauge welding cable.I have all manuals for the components as well as the car.
Google any of these components for description.
The car is not "like new". It's 28 years old and has been very well cared for and always garaged. I hope that if it sells it is to someone that can come and inspect it. Even though I have tried to describe it accurately some folks may not agree if they bought it sight unseen. If you have questions please be as specific as possible, thanks
