2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS
2005 Hyundai Elantra Description
I'm selling my well-loved Elantra. This car is in great shape, aside from a few cosmetic scrapes it has collected over the years. Everything works--this car is a champ. The 2.0L engine makes it quicker than it's competitors from Japan (Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, I'm looking at you), and I haven't found anything this car can't handle. It's been my adventure companion from Mississippi to Massachussets, Oregon, and now Washington.
What it is:
Reliable, comfortable, and ready to tow. This car has been well-maintained since it was new.
What it isn't:
Perfect. This car is 10 years old--my dad bought it brand new and sold it to me a couple years ago. It's seen a few scrapes and the like, and the wear and tear that a decade on this earth will bring. That being said everything is in good working condition.
Recent work done:
Front brakes replaced (calibers, pads, and rotors) @135k miles
Front struts replaced @ 135k miles
Tie rods & accessory belts replaced @ 135k miles
Tires are almost brand new. I put them on last month.
Upgrades:
Cruise Control (aftermarket, so it's a little fussy but it does work)
Sony xplod stereo head unit w/aux in
Rear sway bar from Hyundai Tiburon improved the handling a lot
Towing hitch receiver--once again the 2.0L engine shines when it comes to pulling.
Why I'm Selling:
I'm selling this because I couldn't be content with a perfectly good car that wasn't a hatchback. If I were smarter I'd just have kept it, but we all like what we like.
