The time has come for me to part with my beloved G35. I have owned this vehicle since 2008, when it was purchased as a CPO vehicle from Infiniti of Superstition Springs. I have loved this car and will miss her. This car has never been to the drag strip and has never been tracked. Only quality parts from reputable firms were purchased and installed/used on this vehicle. If I were to describe this car in one word it would be this, visceral. The stock car provided the driver with a lot of feedback, and is incredibly fun to drive. This car, with the upgraded quality/light weight parts retains the experience but improves the vehicles handling characteristics, without sacrificing a smooth ride when desired.
The current ride height is set to allow the vehicle to clear speed bumps without damaging the undercarriage. At 40,000 miles the transmission was flushed and filled with Redline MT-85 oil. At 50,000 miles the diff was flushed with Redline 75W90 gear oil. At this time the notoriously leaky diff bushings were replaced with a Whiteline kit, which dramatically reduced wheel hop and improved the vehicle’s ability to put power to the ground. Oil changes were done every 3,000 miles with Mobil 1 5W-30 full synthetic and Mobil 1 oil filters until 61,000 miles.
At this point, much research was done to pick the best oil/filter combo for the motor and its future operating state. Oil changes were done with Castrol Edge 0W-30 and Purolator PureOne filters for the next two oil changes. For the change at 67,000 miles, a Mobil 1 filter was combo’d with the Castrol Edge oil as I had planned to compare the resulting UOA’s against each other. The most recent Blackstone UOA is provided for insight into the health of this motor.
A belt driven supercharger kit was chosen due to the enjoyable linear power delivery, and the propensity of the VQ platform to throw rods on turbo applications. The vehicle is tuned on the Uprev Osiris software platform, and made 421whp/340wtq after being tuned by one of the best tuners for this platform, Tony @ UMS tuning.

Hopefully if you are bidding on this vehicle, you have done your research about common issues. Most notably on this platform are the window motors, drivers’ seat tear, and door lock actuators. The drivers’ side window motor went out and was replaced, passenger side is still OEM. The drivers’ side lock actuator sometimes fails to respond on really hot days, which is most of the summer here in AZ, but has no issues during cooler months. It did not bother me enough to replace the actuator, as just using the key is easy enough. The drivers’ seat does have the notorious tear, but it is not as bad as I have seen in other vehicles. Other things that need to be mentioned are: front bumper need to be re-painted, I was quoted $400 from one of the best shops in my area to have it repainted, and the side mirrors need to be repainted as the AZ sun has done a number on the clear coat, I was quoted $100 to have those done.
There is one last item to be mentioned, this vehicle was rear ended at low speeds in a highway traffic jam. Unfortunately, the rear bumper and the passenger side quarter panel had to be replaced. The quarter panels are designed to crumple and absorb impact force, regardless of impact speed. This was purely cosmetic damage that had to be fixed, and was covered by the other parties’ insurance. I have tried to take as many detailed pictures as possible so that buyers can bid with confidence!
*The last picture shows the vehiclewhen the vehicle was still at a lower ride height, with minimal paint damage to the front bumper (for reference) *
