1999 Jaguar XJ8 Description

Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful production Jaguars ever made, and it has the right color combination, too. This car was purchased new at Overseas Motors in Dallas. It was my father's car until he passed away and I have maintained the car in nearly perfect condition. It has been regularly serviced with regular oil changes. I did replace the tensioner as well as the thermostat and the thermostat housing at the mechanics recommendation. It has a new battery, excellent Bridgestone tires and beautiful chrome Jaguar wheels. Some of the hoses are new (asneeded) as well as the drive belt. The headliner had to be replacedit was sagging so that apparently cannot be repaired. The interior of the car is like brand new - leather seats and beautiful burled wood insets on the dash and doors. The only issue with the car is that it has collected tree sap from the Live Oak Trees in my driveway and that has created bumps on the hood, roof and trunk. This has happened even though I always garaged the car at night - it happened during just brief periods during the day. Very frustrating. The issue does not need to be addressed and the car looks beautiful from a distance but if you want the car to be perfect you would need to address the issue. I have priced the car withthat in mind. It would be nice if this car fell into the hands of an enthusiast or collector, as it could easily be a show car. I've never had any significant mechanical issues with the car - it has always been totallyreliable and wonderful to drive. You are welcome to speak to the mechanic who has maintainedthe car.
