1999 Jaguar XK8 Description

1999 XK8 Convertible in Pristine Condition. 64,950 miles.

Purchased for my daughter 3 years ago. She now has a family and needs a 'family car'. I purchased the car with approximately 55,000 miles -- she's put about 10,000 miles on the car over the past 3 years.

Theperson I bought the car from purchased for his wife -- in Gilroy, CA. He kept the car for a couple of years until (he claimed) she 'got bored'. He told me he bought the XK8 fromthe original owner in Florida when the car had about47,000 miles. During the 2 years of ownership he spent more than $5000 on maintenance related items to include $4500 to go through the entire engine -- to include doing the 60K mile tension belt servicing.I have the receipts.

When I purchased the car I spent $2500 -- 4 new struts, new front/rear brakes, new battery, new tiresin the Gilroy, CA. I have the receipt. ThereafterIhad the two front seats recovered with Jaguar upholstery. Cost $1200. See photos.

Over the past 3 years the car has been meticulously maintained by Coventry Cars of San Diego -- Independent Jaguar Repair shop that has better reviews than the local Jaguar dealer. I just spent $1989.00 having Coventry go through the entire car to include filters, fluids, spark plugs. I have more than $6000in receiptsat Coventry Cars of San Diego. All receipts available.

Yes -- you can find 1999-2002+ XK8's lower priced. They will not be 'pristine', not have new $1200 leather front seats, not have $8500+ mechanical updatesand maintenancework done -- not have just had $2000 of work done. Lower priced cars will generally require at least $2000-$3000-$4000 of maintenance work.

All of my cars in my collection are generally close to 'perfect'. 99+ points. This XK8 is not a 99 point car but very very nice. You are invited to contact Coventry Cars of San Diego to confirm.
