Jaguar XKR / XK8 / XJR

1999 Jaguar XK8 Description

I have a Jaguar XK8 that was converted over to a" XKR" with a motor swap. The Supercharged Engine came out of a wrecked 2003 "XJR" that had 30.000 miles on it STEEL LINE BORE ENGINE !!!! If youdon't know what that means Google it and see, Jaguar made a change in late year 2000 to the AJV8 engines . The car itself has 72.000 miles on it. Paint is faded. Front seatsneed new covers. Windshield is cracked. Wheels good shape, Tires fair, Brakes fair,""""Transmission Rebuild""" 5HP24 Trans with updated new front hub drum,andserviced. Allfluids have been changed of thevehicle..
The car runs and drives great ! The only thing is the computer of the car is NOT A XKR . Its still a XK8 and all the systems work, but the computer is looking forthe VVT ??? and its not therebecause the AJV8 SUPERCHARGED ENGINE doesn't have VVT. so its sets a fault. As per this I have the SUPERCHARGER belt off so I don't get a Fault/limp mode. Other then it Runs ! Shifts! Drives great !!

This car was done for fun and by someone that knows Jaguars and a Jaguar TECH. we have some cool parts on hand and put something together that was swap thatturned out great. If your Computer Savvy for hot rodding, this is for you.. Or drive it the way it is. Remember 30.000 miles on engine,and RB Transmission up and running.
The "ABS" light is on.The "Tracks"/" Traction" Control Fault.And the "VVT" code.
Body of the car over all good. Just some dents under rockerpanels nothing big. andsurface rust on some floor boards. Both front seats need new covers.
