2006 Jaguar XK8 Description

This rare, lovely well preserved example is the XK8 coupe that Jaguar aficionados are seeking in fabulous Platinum Silver Metallic. The best of production run with the upgraded 4.2 engine and 6 speed transmission. Only the '05-'06 had the lower body ground effects and a more aggressive lower front valance, larger and wider "Atlas" wheels.
There are a bigger selection of convertibles making the '05-'06 coupes difficult to find without high mileage. Also, please look at the condition of the wood as well as the gorgeous pattern of the burled veneer. The wood on the steering wheel and shift knob still feel like glass in your hands; mint perfect condition. And speaking of mint condition, the seats in this gem look like they were never sat in.
Previously owned by an engineer, this car was garaged year round and in my ownership these past 4 years I have continued this same level of care storing it in a climate controlled garage.
Not to be compared to the early cars with anemic engines and transmission failures, Ford and Jaguar did upgrade these cars and got these right. No accidents and no salt exposure. Engine and under body are like new. Approximately only 200 '05-'06 coupes were imported and please note, very few had the lovely wood steering wheels. The untouched original paint is 100% perfect and pristine.
Many say that the XK8 coupe is one of the most beautiful cars of modern times. This car is more than just an elegant art piece, its wonderful to drive. The power, handling and inside comforts are top tier. There are no codes and all systems are functioning perfectly. A bargain price for a car that cost near $80,000 out the door new in '06
This car represents the best of the XK8 coupes. Because of the collectible inflation of the XKEs, classic car dealers will soon be looking for more affordable cars to ask top tier prices for. I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing cars like this (if you can find one) with asking prices twice or more than my asking price very soon. Not only is this car rare, its gorgeous. I'm only letting this car go because I need the space. The owners handbook is included with this as well as the original Jaguar owners manual and 2 sets of original keys.
