2003 Jaguar XK8 convertible
2003 Jaguar XK8 Convertible Description
My wife and I are the second owners of this beautiful car. It was a Manufacturer's Executive Program car and I bought it in 2006 from the dealer in Pittsburgh with only 11,000 miles and still under warranty with the original tires. The '03 model had over a hundred upgrade changes from previous years including a larger engine (4.2) and a six speed transmission. It has every option available except the Supercharged engine and everything on it works properly. I'm also including a second full set of used 19" Apollo wheels which I purchased should I ever damage one beyond repair. I haven't. The car is completely stock as it should be and has never been wrecked, damaged or repainted. I have even kept two of the original four Pirelli tires that came on it from the factory. The car has always been garaged since I've owned it and we've never driven it in poor weather. It's been in the body shop one time for three things: The wheels were refinished in the original color, I had the brake calipers painted silver to match and I had four small areas on the underbody marked with silver paint to indicate the proper position of the jack points. The car has four new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires with less than five hundred miles. At the same time, I had new ceramic brake pads installed all around to get rid of the black dust on the wheels. The car drives like brand new. The paint is outstanding with a few rock chips here and there in keeping with it's mileage. The convertible top is original and shows wear in the normal places but is 100% serviceable and still looks great. The car has been serviced regularly on schedule at the Jag dealership here in Memphis and with an excellent, independent foreign shop here after the warranty expired. Apparently, there are two flags on this car's CARFAX report which I knew nothing about until a dealer brought it my attention last week. It shows more than two owners and it shows a mileage discrepancy. Neither of these is correct. I did change the title from my wife's name to my name (same last name) when we re-registered it in Tennessee. The mileage discrepancy has to be a clerical error. The car currently has 32,100 actual miles as shown on the odometer. I think the pic from a year or so ago shows 31,000. My wife and I have been the only owners of the car since 2006 and we've never had any odometer work on the car ever. I'm a retired, 70 year old airline pilot, I've owned and sold a few cars in my time and have never been accused of dishonesty. If you buy this car and think it's been misrepresented after seeing it, you don't have to buy it and I'll return your deposit with no hard feelings. I have a lot of patience with anyone who loves cars, has a sincere question for me with a genuine interest in bidding. I have no tolerance for BS or scammers and I can detect one a thousand miles away. I don't need any help selling. Text me or call at 501-281-3522 or ask your questions on this forum. I won't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize so please leave a message and I'll call you back.
