2001 Jaguar XJ8 Base Sedan 4-Door Description

The car was purchased with around 30,000 miles on it in 2002. It still had four years of dealer service, so it was serviced at the Jag dealership in Atlanta, GA. The car had very few issues until recently. The thermostat was replaced as well as the timing tensioners which were replaced with steel units as preventative maintenance around 70,000 miles. The transmission was also flushed recently and new, Euro fluid was put in, unfortunately the transmission is failing and the car is in 'limp mode.' I've gotten a quote from my mechanic to replace trans for $2300. The driver door handle is broken and I've been waiting to buy one on ebay but haven't seen a match, easy cheap fix. The lock modules are failing on some of the doors and has failed in the trunk. Antenna mast failed and was replaced with an internal antenna.
