1992 Jaguar XJS Description

This vehicle is a 1992 Jaguar XJS V-12 convertible, VIN SAJNW4840NC183121. The car has been garaged and covered most of its life. I purchased the car several years ago from a friend, and drove it regularly. The engine is sound and a little cold natured, but after she warms up, she purrs like the cat she is.

With business travel and other projects, I do not have the time to spend on her anymore and she needs to go to a new home with some TLC to offer. Now for the items “You Should Know” list:

The drivers side headlight lens separated from the in-fender bucket assembly, so a new assembly was purchased and is included, but not installed. The seats were removed and recovered. All power windows work, A/C and heater work (A/C needs a charge). Radio was removed as it was an inexpensive aftermarket that needed to go, but all the original speakers are still in place. The top is original, and does not leak. The convertible top lowering and raising mechanism is sometimes a little slow and may need some hydraulic fluid.

But the one most important attributes of this car is that it is RUST FREE from top to bottom. No floor pan or trunk pan holes, which is common for this model Jaguar.

Synthetic oil and filter change every 5000 miles which also includes tire rotation. The current tires are B.F. Goodrich T/A Radials P235/60R15’s with ~75% tread remaining. (needs an oil and filter change now, tire rotation would also be recommended)

Included with the vehicle is a new drivers side front headlight assembly, $425 USD (shown), a New “Block-It” Sun/Rain/Dust car cover, $275 USD (shown), and shop repair manuals, parts catalogs, and DVD, $175 USD (shown).

I have too many other vehicle projects and not enough time and this Jag would be a great purchase for one with some time to spend on the weekend.
