1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Roadster
1966 Jaguar E-Type Roadster Description
The Series I Jaguar E-Type is widely regarded as not only the most beautiful E-Type iteration, but as one of the most beautiful cars ever built. This 1966 4.2 XKE Roadster emphatically proves that point.
With just 33,574 original miles on the odometer and continuous ownership since 1974, this E-Type is in marvelous condition. It underwent a complete cosmetic restoration in 2008, with a new black convertible top replacing the original dark blue unit. It has been certified by Jaguar Motor Heritage, has all matching numbers, and is equipped with the original 4.2l straight-six engine and four-speed manual gearbox. It also comes with its original tool kit and owner's manual.
In 2015, AGSVRC of Savannah, GA performed a complete service and detail. A comprehensive service file accompanies what is undoubtedly an exceptional Series 1 E-Type.
As stunning as it is, the car is even more impressive on the road. The impeccable interior welcomes its driver over the frame’s wide sills. The chassis is tight and responsive, while the engine and gearbox provide excellent performance. Simply put, this Jag drives as beautifully as it looks. With an open top and a classic straight-six symphony, it is a nearly unmatched motoring experience.
