This Jeep was in a collision on the front right fender and bent the front axle but that has already been replaced. This is why I think it was totaled. The little front axles get bent so much by people off-roading that they are hard to find and thus expensive so they must have used the price of a complete new one which is $5500. I found a front and rear one for a couple hundred and had it installed with a newRock Krawler Front Track Bar. The factory one was bent as well. I have an extra rear axle that came with the front if you want it althoughit's not a rubicon one. I had the the front axle installed by a reputable Jeep shop in Austin whoalsoalignedthe jeep. Yes! It goes down the road straight.
The previous owner says that in 2007 you could order these with Rubicon rear axle and sway bar disconnect although I have found no evidence of that.
This is a well built Jeep but it does need the body work finished. It needs a little paint work done and needs the front core support replaced because it's bent and it's highstrengthsteel is too tough to bend back.
I had a shop put the Jeep on a frame machine to make sure that the frame had no damage and they confirmed that it was in spec and was not bent. The air bags did not deploy, the AC wasn't damaged and blows cold. The radiator was not damaged.
I'm sure that I am forgetting something... please feel free to ask questions. Send me your phone number via message if you would like to talk on the phone.
