2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Limited Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4. The Jeep Grand Cherokee needs no introduction. It is probably one of the best known SUV's on the road and has an excellent reputation as a reliable and capable 4x4. I would rate the exterior of this Grand Cherokee to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for its age and mileage. If you follow my auctions, you'll know that I rarely give any vehicle the "excellent" rating. That is saved for the most exceptional examples of a given vehicle compared to others like it. As you can see, this Grand Cherokee is gorgeous. It is finished in a gold-ish tan, which really stands out and looks great. Walking around this Jeep, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about. This Grand Cherokee would easily pass for half the miles. As with any older vehicle, please don't expect absolute perfection. I'm sure there are some flaws and imperfections here and there if you look close enough. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The fenders, door bottomsand rockers looks amazingly clean for a Jeep of this age and mileage. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the body cladding is intact and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. The headlights show normal hazing, but that happens to all of them as they age. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how exceptionally clean this Grand Cherokee looks inside and out.

I would rate the interior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is an exceptionally clean Jeep. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout this Jeep. The dash and headlner are clean. The leather seats are soft, supple and show minimal wear for their age. My only complaint about the interior is that the LF of the bracket for the driver's seat is broken so the seat feels a little loose. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The audio system is the original Infinity Premium Sound and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. Everything seems to be working properly. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The heated seats don't work. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The original cargo cover is still present and there is a factory CD changer back there, too. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this Jeep.

Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.7L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. There is a little play in the steering, which is acceptable in an older Jeep. I will disclose that there is a noise in the front end. I'm going to say that it's the front diff, although it doesn't sound like a noisy diff. If I didn't know different, I'd say it's tire noise because it remains constant and only changes with vehicle speed. A differential will change pitch or tone when you're accellerating and decellerating. A wheel bearing will change when you turn and change the load on a specific corner of the vehicle. However, this is eBay and I know I can't say it's probably tires because I'll get crucified if it ends up being something else...so assume that the front diff is starting to make noise and you'll be thrilled if it's something cheaper. The engine makes good power and feels smooth. She keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The only idiot light on has been the ABS light. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with absolutely no issues. The Quadra-Drive full time 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints, except for the aforementioned noise. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
