1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport TJ 4.0L V6 - Blue. Suspension lift/Oversized tires. 4WD
1997 Jeep Wrangler Description
This 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport is my daily driver. I've owned it for approximately 10 years. It is blue and has the 4.0L inline V6 with 169k miles on it.Pioneer CD head unit andsound bar with all upgraded speakers. It also has a Sirius XM tuner in the dash so all you need to do is activate a subscription to start using it.I had a 2 inch suspension lift put on it with Rancho shocks. The tires are 33" Cooper Discoverer and has a full sized spare. This was not used as anoff road vehicle, more of an urban warrior.I also have a locking storage system in the trunk area as well as two side mirrors which you can use when the doors are removed.
The only major work done recently, was about a year ago I had an entire new rear end put on it (Dana 35 rear axle and side bearings) which ran me $2000. I have receipts from all of the work dating back over 10 years. Ifyou have specific questions about anything being replaced I can dig through the records and look for you.
Just passed GA emissions in August. Title is clean and in hand. The vehicle isclean and in overall good condition for its age. Ice cold AC. No rust! I still drive it daily and would hop in it and travel out of state without thinking twice about it. Very dependable. I need to sell it in order to get a bigger car for work with more room.
Lots of Pros for this vehicle, but there are some Cons I need to disclose:- The top will need to be replaced in the near future or at the very least you will need to replace the back window. It will no longer stay zipped shut so I have been using pins to keep it in place in order to keep water out of the back.- Hood has sun spots where the top coat has started to fade.- Horn doesn't work- Bulb is out which lights up the AC/Heater panel- Periodically the check engine light will come on and turn off. When it is on the code is for the exhaust system, but the O2 sensor and cat are fine. This has been happening for the past couple of years but the vehicle continues to pass annual emissions. Likely a slight leak in a hose somewhere.
Pleasecheck out the large photos and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for looking!

You can see thesmall red bulb on the center dash to indicate when it is armed. The system doesn't lock the doors, of course, since they are manual, but it does trigger if the doors are opened or if it senses any movement with the vehicle. Has a nicesensitivity level since it will trip if you reach in and open the glovebox or center console when the top is off.
