1947 Jeep CJ Gun rack Description

First of all, there is NO TITLE AND NO VIN on vehicle. I WILL WRITE YOU OUT A BILL OF SALE ONLY. So if that doesn't work for you I understand. At least you got to look at a cool Jeep. If it does work for you then read on and bid!
Priced to sell! Once a bid is made there is no reserve.
I put more pictures on Colorado Western Slope Craigslist, search for "Willys CJ2A".
It has been lifted for excellent ground clearance. Has a roll bar.
The steering as set up gives it a large turning radius. Haven't tried to do anything with it.
Windshield frame folds down and is my favorite way to drive it.
No heater. Headlights aren't hooked up and haven't been the 2 years I've had it.
Odometer not working, probably not the speedo either. Oil pressure and temp gages work. Fuel gage not. It has 2 under-seat fuel tanks. Hose needs repaired from passenger side.
Built-in tow bar. I used it for 150 miles or so and it works fine.
I don't know what year these were made, 46-48 and maybe later. I don't know what year this was made. The grill is military, with 9 grill slits, which I like better than the typical 7 slits.
Very good tall 235/85R16 tires and a good spare 245/75R16 mounted on back. Much better than 15" tires on later Jeeps.
Hi-lift jack. Back seat with storage box under it.
Has a PTO winch, however the chain in the gearbox apparently broke or fell off. We had it working last year but it's not working now.
Starts, runs and drives good. 2 year old starter (gear reduction? Not the original type), 2 month old battery. Manual choke works well. Engine smokes, not a lot of power, but will go up steep hills in low gears. Has high and low range. 3 speed manual transmission.
Frame and body don't appear to have any structural rust damage, surface rust only, typical of vehicles here in western Colorado.
Why would I sell such an awesome vehicle? Not having a title, heater or a top in Colorado is a drawback. Not so much in many other places. It is much easier to get titles some places than it is here. Also, need to raise money to buy the family homestead in the pine trees near beautiful Norwood Colorado. So although I will miss this Jeep, the money will go to a good cause.
10/11/16 Revision- Mileage unknown.
10/11/16, 9 pm Revision - Hood has small box tubing pieces attached to it to stiffen it up. Functional and looks good too. Has receiver for hitch. About the PTO winch, we can open up the gearbox when you come to get it and look for the problem. Since there is excellent deer and elk hunting around here, you can pick it up when you come to hunt. Over the counter bull tags are available before the season starts.
