2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Sport Utility 4-Door Description

Up for sale is our 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I purchased this for my elderly father a few years ago as a second vehicle, but it hasn't been driven very much since then. It recently developed a serious wobble/vibration at speeds over 40 MPH. All of the front-end suspension components seem to be in good shape (track bar, drag link, tie rods, springs, etc.) so my guess is either the ball joints or the wheel bearings (or both). I couldn't observe any significant free-play in the wheel with the vehicle jacked-up, so the problem may be something else. It is still being driven around town, where it performs just fine. I just don't have the time or money to put into the vehicle right now (and the old man got a new pickup truck anyway), so the Jeep has to go.
This particular Grand Cherokee has the Quadra-Drive transfer case (full-time AWD, and optional 4-wheel Low), and the desirable H.O. (high-output) version of the 4.7 liter V8 engine (adds a nice 30 additional HP and torque), which runs strong. It also has the towing package.
I recently replaced the radiator (it had a small leak), and did the water pump and thermostat at the same time as a precaution. All Mopar parts were used. In the past few years of ownership the following additional maintenance was done: changed front and rear differential fluid, changed transfer case fluid, coolant flush, transmission drain-and-fill, added Bilstein shocks (lifetime warranty), added an Addco rear sway bar, and changed the oil (non-synthetic, to be safe) every 3k miles.
So, in addition to the primary issue of the wobble, there are a few other negatives: high mileage (though not as high as many I've seen for sale, FWIW) some body rust (about average for the year), the infamous climate control blend door issue (I do have a repair kit that I never installed that will come with the Jeep), the AC system needs a recharge (had to be depressurized when I replaced the radiator), the tire-pressure monitors are no longer functional.
On the positive side, the Jeep runs and drives nicely (at slower speeds at least), is a tank in the snow, accelerates well, has towing capability, a clean Maine title, and has been treated respectfully and not off-roaded. This is a good deal for anyone willing to put a modest amount of time or money into it.
The buyer basically has two options: drive it home on secondary roads, or bring a trailer or flatbed. The choice is yours. I'm willing to work with the winning bidder to figure out the logistics. Please know where the town of Islesboro is located before bidding! I am ready to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thanks!
