Up for sale is my 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ V6 4.0L
I purchased this Jeep 3 years ago from a college student in Albany, New York. I got the truck with around 156000 Miles on it and absolutely no extras. I have since put about 3000 miles on the truck commuting to work and school. I have basically put 1 of everything into this car. Within the past year I have added:
New Radiator
New Brake Lines
New Hoses
New Belts
New Pulleys
New Spark Plugs
New Billstein Shocks
New BF Goodrich All Terrain Tires
New Clutch, Fly Wheel, and Pressure Plate
I have also added a host of accessories to the vehicle:
Smittybilt XRC Powder Coated Light Bar
4 KC HiLite Spot Beam Lights
2 KC HiLite Fog Lights (Not Connected)
Smittybilt Cargo Net Roof
Body Armor Tubular Mesh Safari Doors
Front and Rear Quadratec Tubular Bumpers
Quadratec Tubular Side Steps
Plasti-Dipped Rims (Black)
6 Inch Touch Screen Retractable Radio (Bluetooth, USB, CD/DVD, Navigation Compatibility, Satellite Radio Compatibility)
Wet Okole Silver/Black Seat Covers (Front and Rear)
Quadratec Rugged Floor Mats (Front and Rear)
This truck also has both Hard Top and Soft Top (both in great condition)
Freezing Cold AC
There is minimal body rust on this Jeeps Chassis, normally TJs tend to rust pretty badly but solid maintenance has kept this one looking pretty solid for it's age. There had been minimal body rust on the windshield and fenders however I had it professionally done, so no more pesky surface rust! This trucks engine drives like a beast. Despite the milage the engine can handle some serious driving. The new shocks and heavy tires keep this Jeep very grounded, opposed to numerous other Jeeps I've driven.
There are two issues with the car I would like to point out. First, the gas tank cover is a bit rusted. Not to the point where is poses a threat but just something to be aware of. I have driven this car for pretty long drives and it doesn't seem to budge a bit, just something to keep your eye out for. There is also a slight issue with the transmission. I have never found it to be a serious problem because this car is my daily driver and I know how to finesse the stick shift but despite the new clutch, fly wheel, and pressure plate, it does crunch going into 2nd gear and minimally going into 3rd. I spoke with a mechanic who specializes in Jeeps out in Deer Park, NY and he thinks it may be time for a new synchronizer. I have lowered my expected pricing in accordance with this issue, just seems the right thing to do.
All in all though I have put an immense amount of work into this car. I have driven it for a little under 2 years now and it served as an excellent truck for me. Not only is it a great summer car but its got a pretty solid amount of torque as well for snowy conditions.Unfortunately I'm not allowed to have a car up at school freshman year so no point of it sitting in my driveway for a year :( . Bid with confidence, this is an excellent vehicle with a clean title and a strong engine with loads of extras.
