We bought this in 2014 to use as a plow Jeep.It worked great for the first 2 years when we had a mild winter as far as snow goes. This year’s 2 foot of snow the Friday before last convinced us the snow blower is a better way to go. I will miss the WARM cab while clearing the drive, though. We didn’t plate it and only put 32 miles on it since we got it.
If you don’t live in the snowbelt, it would probably be fine for you.Or maybe you would like to make it a project and fix it up for street use.It runs well, and started right up, even in the below zero mornings of the 2015 winter. It can push 6 inches to a foot of snow without a problem. The 4 wheel drive, both high and low granny gear, works fine, as does the 2 wheel drive.
Since getting it I put in a new battery, steering gear (old one leaked), radiator hoses, and most recently, a power steering pump and hose two weeks ago when the old one failed.I’m also proud of the strobe light assembly I made to put into the hitch to improve visibility.
As shown in the picture, it has a soft top too, though I never put it on.It’s not in great shape, but I guess it would keep the rain out if driving in the summer with the top down and you came across a shower. It also has a front bumper to add if making it streetable again.
The Jeep is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason.
I have 100% feedback so bid with confidence.
I require a $500 deposit due at the end of the auction which will be refunded if it’s not all you expected when viewing in person.Upon acceptance the balance is due in CASH during pick up.
I’m located in Chardon, Ohio a few miles from the intersection of route 322 and route 44.Email me if you have any questions.
We can also arrange for a pre-bid viewing and drive in the driveway - maybe plow some snow, if you want.
Good luck bidding!
