2009 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Description

Selling my 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I bought this to tow behind my motorhome after selling my truck and boat. This has been a great jeep but now several years later going to buy another boat and the tow rating on this jeep is 3500 lbs and the boat we are looking at is about 4500 lbs. I have found a truck that I can tow behind my motorhome 4 down and still tow the new boat when we buy it. So I am now selling my Rubicon. It has the following equipment, A/C works great, a great stereo that I think has a dvd player in it but I have never used it. I took a picture of the stereo opened so you can see it says dvd player on one side. I always listen to Sirius radio (60’s on 6) so I have never tried the dvd player. I bought custom seat covers for both front seats but only put one on the drivers side. It has storage pockets in the rear. I will see if I can find the passenger side. The prior owner put on the ORB interior armor that surrounds the driver and passenger. It is an expensive add on I was told, over 1000.00 to get it installed. I put a 2 ½ ‘ rough country lift kit that included 4 new shocks 2 years ago. . It also has an Air Raid air filter system that looks like a K& N type of filter. I also added a pair of Yakima roof racks wrapped in pipe insulation for noise No keys for the racks and they come off very easy if needed. I have it set it to tow behind a motorhome and it includes the roadmaster frame mounted base plates and attachment ends that hook to the motorhome tow bar. It is wired with a straight 4 plug to connect to the motorhome. I did have the invisibrake system installed but I removed it to put it in the new truck so you will need your own braking system for the tow car. I bought this Rubicon from a car dealer in Thousand Oaks and paid close to 30,000. out the door. As you know Rubicons are top of the line off road vehicles. I took this off road once with my son in law but was not thrilled with off roading and have not done it again. (I am 64 yrs old so that might explain it).

The only bad thing that has happened to this jeep is once while towing it I got stuck on a cludesac street and thought I could turn it around without jackknifing the jeep. Long story short I couldn’t and did jackknife the jeep. It bent the roadmaster tow bracket and dented the front bumper stop. I was just going to fix it myself but since I also backed into a tree with the motorhome on the same trip I ended up getting the jeep repaired from the insurance at a professional shop. They replaced the tow bracket and replaced the bumper skin. The bumper was not bent but the bumper stop that protrudes from the bumper was dented. It is just plastic but looked bad bent. I have installed the stubby version like a rock crawler bumper after the jackknife episode. If you look at the front pictures you can see the bumper does not go all the way to the end and this looks much better and opens it up to off roading if you want. Not sure if carfax will show this as an accident since it was an insurance claim but this is the story and it was not in an accident like a car crash. It has never had any body work or paint work that I am aware of. I have always kept it in my garage and have done all oil changes with synthetic oil at 4000 miles. It has mud snow tires so the freeway tire noise is louder than I am used to but if you know these types of tires you understand. Tires are good but when I went off roading I rubbed against a rock that sheered off the valve stem on one tire. Very expensive fix as they are the monitor sensor kind and it cost almost100.00 to get a new valve stem sensor and have them all reprogrammed. The only body ding I see you can see in the pictures. It was there when I bought it. There is some spots on the rear fender extension as shown in pictures. I am sure you can armorall them but I did not want to do that and pretended they were not there. That piece is plastic I think.

Please no lowballers as I am in no hurry to sell. I have the pink slip in hand and it has a clear title. I have ordered a truck but it is being shipped here from out of state.

That’s about all I can think of. Buyer to pay for shipping if needed. Please come and look at it if you are close by. You will not be disappointed. Vehicle sold with no warranty and sold as is where is. I try to be completely honest and act as if I am buying this and what I would expect. I am not a professional seller but have bought several vehicles over the years on ebay and always had a good experience. 250.00 due within 48 hours and rest in a week. Papal only for deposit.

I just noticed a second ding almost in the same position as the first one on the opposite side of the jeep by the antenna. It is smaller than the first first one.

This is my daily drive car so the mileage will be different when you pick it up. I am retired so I do not drive a lot and I took the pictures the day I listed it so it will not be much different.
