1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport Utility 4-Door 4.0L, new engine
1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport Description
1995 Jeep Cherokee, four door, four-wheel-drive, automatic, new crate engine still under warranty.
Odometer currently reads 132,005.2 (may increase), had 127,115 when engine was replaced.
Extensive work has been done to mechanicals, but the body does have somescratch& minor dents.
Rust removed from frame. After the frame was fixed, a 'sister' frame was welded onto both sides of the original. It is very stiff now.
AC does not work; it has been that way for years...I would expect that if you want AC, it would all need to be replaced.
In the last 5,000 miles, the following have been replaced or repaired;
Engine; under warranty until January, 2018
Distributor (they don't come with the engine!)
Radiator
Gas Tank & filter
Idler pulley
Exhaust manifold
Engine mount
Front wheel bearing and hub assembly
Water PumpAll brakes were checked; any well worn parts were replaced
All floor pans; both front pans, middle pan, and rear pan.
Undercoating on parts of the frame and new pans
Shocks
Springs (upgraded to heavier duty)
Bumpers (after-market, heavy duty)
Winch
Roof rack & lights (one light bulb just burned out) Two of the lights on the front of the rack are pencil beam, while the other two are flood.
Fog lights
Battery
New relays installed for secondary lights and winch
12V outlet in rear compartment
12V outlet in center console
Hood release cable
Tires and Wheels
Front wheel seals (inner and outer)
Rear differential was checked, fluid replaced
Exhaust
Passed smog check in CA last year
Rear door struts
New wiring for trailer hook-up
Heated seats (front only; 3 level, off, low, and high)
Cargo rack
L.E.D. lights; 3 switches - 1) lights on passenger side, 2) lights on driver side, and 3) rear lights. The rear lights can be always off, come on with back-up lights, or turned on by them selves
Upholstery
Headliner (glue deteriorated, and it is hanging low; the original is underneath it. If I have time, I can remove the current one so it will look more stock.
Rear tail light covers
Cab lights (LED - look clear, are orange when turned on - they come on with lights)
Window washer and tank
Probably more, but I can't remember all of it. Roughly $20K invested.
It runs well, handles well, and is in overall good shape.
Not so great stuff;
The driver door lock occasionally sticks
The driver side passenger door opens only from inside; not sure if this is an issue with child proof system, or something else.
Headliner is sagging
There is rust on the inside of the hood. I meant to have the hood replaced, but the guy installing the hood vents forgot and installed the vents.
ACdon't work; should be replaced if you want AC
Cash/wire transfer only.
Not sending it to Nigeria...
