1981 Jeep CJ Description

Up for auction is my 1981 CJ-7. Full frame off, nut and bolt restoration completed in 2008. I have been the only owner of this jeep since 2004. Always garaged and only driven in the summer months. This jeep has been off-road on the high mountain passes between Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride. (NO SAND OR DEEP WATER) I will try to make this list as complete as possible, but there has been so much done to this Jeep it is difficult to put it all down. Chevy 5.3L multi-port injection with custom harness and ECM flash. (2005 model with 42K at the time of install.Advanced adapters headers.Chevy 4L60E auto trans. with Lokar shifter. From the same 2005 donor vehicle, but rebuilt with shift kit at the time of install.Rebuilt dana 300 with cable twin stick.Alum. radiator with elec fan.Dana 44 front and rear with 4:56 gear and Detroit lockers and chromoly shafts.Warn locking front hubs.4-wheel disc breaks with proper prop valve. All lines were replaced.Bullet Proof steering linkages.Heavy duty steering shaft.Front steering gear out of a Hummer H1 and rusty steering brace.OME 3" suspension lift, shocks, and stabilizer.All new bushings and suspension/steering joints throughout.Get Right alum fuel tank with skid plate and TJ fuel pump.Gen Right sliders.Bushwhacker pocket flares.YJ roll cage.YJ half doors.Best top reclining seat and fold and tumble rear.Locking console.Thick vinyl flooring, over line-x.All new gauges.New chassis wiring harness.LED front headlights.9500lb mile marker winch.Rugged Ridge rear bumper.Best top front bumper (I think)Full YJ soft top in excellent condition.Tilt steering.
THE ISSUES:Tach has never worked and several shops have tried to fix it. I gave up 6 years ago.Horn does not work, button makes a noise but no honk.1.5" crack in the drivers side rear fender flare.Some minor chips in the paint that are too small to show up in pictures.Small paint bubbling on the seam in the rear drives side. Just noticed this while taking pictures.
THE REALITYThis jeep is the best multi purpose CJ I have seen. You can drive this daily, as I do, in the summer or hit the trails. Does both great and looks damn good doing it. This Jeep has 300HP and will spin the tires at will. Do not buy this Jeep if you do not want everyone to ask you about it in parking lots.
