2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit: Florida Car | Garage Parked | Excellent Shape
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Description
Very sad to be selling this car! But doing so since I am going back to school. :( Easily the nicest car I've ever owned and it's PACKED full of safety features as well as creature comforts. When I buy another car again in a few years I will be looking at the Grand Cherokee first and hardest (it's also well regarded from a reliability standpoint).
Purchased this while living in Miami for local errands and the occasional road trip. I walked to work so used the vehicle on a fairly limited basis (were it not for road trips I probably would have only put 7-8k miles on it per year). As it stands, I put about 16k on it in 16 months - half of which were highway miles. Still not bad!
This car is now located in Chicago, since I used it on my relocation to the Windy City about 2 months ago! I am willing to deliver (drive) the vehicle to virtually anywhere in the eastern half of the United States, realizing that a RWD SUV is probably not going to be purchased here in the colder climate. :)
The car has been parked in a garage when not in use, both in Miami and in Chicago for the entirety of my ownership. As such, there is virtually no evidence of sun fading or sun damage, and certainly no salt damage.
The car has a ton of features. It's the Summit edition which is 1 below the CRT model:
The More Advanced Safety/Driving Assistance Features:- Adaptive Cruise Control (really cool - it monitors traffic in front of you on the highway and matches the speed of the car in front of you...AND maintains a safe distance...I would drive for miles without touching the gas or brake on the highway)
- Lane change sensors (very cool - car will beep at you if it detects a lane change without a signal...helpful in case you are accidentally drifting)
- Blind spot warning light in both side view mirrors (will illuminate if a car enters your blind spot)
- Parking indicators on the front and back of the vehicle. There is a visual reference in the instrument panel to show you how close you are to an object as well as different warning sounds that indicate your proximity to an object.
- Backup camera (with the guide lines that curve in the camera as you turn the wheel - very helpful since it shows you where you are going and seems to be very accurate)
- Brake assist - the car will brake itself if it detects a sudden stop in front of you
- Automatic Headlights - they also point in the direction you are turning the wheel which is helpful for seeing better around corners/curves.
- Rain sensing wipers - LOVE this. Don't have to constantly adjust.
- Steering wheel controls for audio, instrument panel, and voice command system
- Fog lights
- Super bright xenon headlights
- Car has a sport mode as well which makes it zippier :)
Creature Comfort/Luxury Features:
- Leather seats - front seats are heated AND vented; rear seats are heated
- Steering wheel is heated - love this
- Power liftgate
- 20 inch+ alloy wheels
- Dual climate. My fiancee is always cold so nice that she can control her side :)
- Remote start - love this when it's cold out
- This car has a standard 12-volt wall outlet for charging, USB ports in the front and rear, as well as standard cigarette-lighter outlets for charging. LOTS of power hookups in other words.
- Auto-dimming mirrors
- The side view mirrors fold in at the push of the button. Really great for tight parking spots.
- Satellite radio ready
- Keyless entry (you can just walk up to the car with the key in your pocket and the door will unlock when you put your hand on the handle).
- Panoramic moon roof - it's twice the length of a standard moon roof. Please note that it only opens the typical distance of a sun roof, though.
- The steering wheel is motorized and telescopes and tilts
- Seat profiles are awesome since the 2 profiles can be setup to remember position of the side view mirrors, seat, and the steering wheel. Makes it super easy to configure your experience if there is someone else who drives it.
- Tire pressure sensors tell you how much air is in each tire on the instrument panel. So convenient!
Recent Maintenance and What the Car Needs:
- Put 4 brand new tires on it about 5k miles ago. Should be good for another 25k or so!
- Just changed the oil. This car doesn't require an oil change every 3 months/3k miles. The computer monitors your usage of the vehicle and will tell you when to change it - which seems to be about every 10k miles.
- There is 1 key fob and the valet key is missing (the metal key part that comes out of the fob to give to valet). I'm unsure what it would take to get this replaced.
