1995 Jeep Cherokee Turbo Diesel Mercedes Benz XJ Sport 4x4 Description

- As described the condition of this XJ has its dents, scratches and blemishes throughout the body, it's in no way perfect, I would give the BODY a Fair condition. I'm a Gear Head, You may need to be one for this buil, what this XJ JEEP represents is much more than its covering. The inside is in good shape, smoke free environment. The tint on 3 windows has my dogs claw marks but panels and dash are in good shape. I have the rear seat removed(included) for the aluminum 50 gal Belly tank (with gauge) that's used for the Straight veggie oil-SVO(included with 50 gals of clean Canola/Soy) All the doors, locks and windows are manual and work. Windshield is cracked. Door on glove box has tiny split but locks. Headliner cloth is missing but insulation remains.

- This Jeeps Engine and Drivetrain is 100% Mechanical and 100% EMP PROOF, considering you have spare parts, (you don't need batteries or a starter to start or stay running with this XJ build)a starter,voltage-reg and glow plug-solenoid in a Faraday cage(though some solenoids may survive and would not be needed if you have other means like the sun, a 12vt battery or heat exchanger to warm the head) Assuming they would go out in the event, you can jump start XJ in forwards and reverse very easy as I have done without even using glow plugs because the compression is excellent and proper valve adjustments are kept.. i.e park on decent hill or have 3 or 4 people push.

- I bought XJ from an individual who had a Texas salvaged title that entailed zero frame damage but enough cosmetic repair for the insurance company at the time(2010) to deem salvaged. At the time a standard 95' cherokee 4x4 that was already 15 years old did not hold a high Bluebook value(even in good condition) so it was easy to see that some front fender and hood and bumper damage would and did bring on the salvage status. Never less XJ was fully repaired and back on the road and is no different than other XJ's Only better with armored heavy duty matching front and rear bumpers skid plates and more.

- I wanted as much of a manual Jeep (no electric windows, auto trans, etc.) as possible and i found it for this build .The stock 4.0 is a great engine minus its horrible MPG. Unless you vaporized the gas, you would still have electronics and much to overcome to be EMP proof with later 4.0's, So I went with a multi fuel mechanical engine as I've been owning and maintaining these beautiful 616's and 617's Mercedes Benz cars for decades.

- All the original Bosch injector nozzles have been replaced with Monarch Nozzles to run Cooking Oil. In the spring/summer/fall and winter (depending on zone) you can run 100% cooking oil and not have to worry about leaving it in the injection system as the monarch nozzles are designed for this. The injection pumps on these 616/617 are super robust and they seem to enjoy cooking oil and its lubricity and have no problems with short periods of stop and starting on it and are much quieter, have less vibrations and smell a heck a lot better that you know what.

- This engines external and all the essential internal parts(timing chain, oil pump chain, all guides, rope seals, seals and gasket, etc)Just recently received new/rebuilt parts minus the pistons and rings(compression is over 350psi Cold in all 5 cylinders (I keep a log book on all testing and maintenance and receipts are included)

- Original miles on Car(617)had 15k less miles showing than XJ now shows 233k so essentially engine has 218k.

- MPG on diesel is solid 25, though I've managed 35 with My HHO(not included) but you will still have the Port in the elbow of the turbo Intake to hook one up. MPG on Grease, AKA..WVO, SVO, Veggie, cooking oil is around 21, but i obtained 30 with my HHO On-demand Dry cell(actually a wet cell, very misleading) 617 has a 25:1 compression ratio, one of the highest of all diesels making it perfect for all fuels, even Optimizing HHO @ stock 26Degrees BTDC.

- I run Rotella full synthetic in 617 and Lucas synthetic oils in Trans/transfer/diffs . I keep a detailed log + receipts of all oil and filter changes (every 3000mi)included.

- 617 has a freshly rebuilt(6-15-16) Garrett T3 turbo and upgraded 360degree thrust washer. All of my purchases for new Mercedes parts for my 616's and 617's are through Mecedessource.com. Kent Bergsma and his family/friends have a great company and great products(the best) for these beautiful machines and I have a extensive list of parts/receipts throughout the years dealing with them. If you purchase this build from me you will need your own special tools, i.e. Valve adjusting wrenches, sockets etc. I do not sell my tools but I've been hit hard with personal body issues(always something)and I'm forced to sell this unique XJ 617 Rig/Survival tool.

-XJ has custom built sealed rear fender(s) openings that house many extra parts for 617/Jeep if you should need them- injector return lines, vacuum hoses, spare voltage regulator(in Faraday cage) Hoses of all types for cooling and veggie circulatory system, new Napa belts for al, tire plug kits, manual Air pump and more will be stowed in compartments when needed.

- XJ has a custom rear tool box Mount (included, minus the Toolbox!) For your tools, it's been a great Mod and has served me well.

- This 617 is mated to the stock Jeep AX-15 5-speed with a beautifully CNC Milled crankshaft adapter and bell housing adapter plate utilizing the stock starter or my high torque $350(brand New) starter (both included)that can swivel so you can run exhaust below.

- Engine mounts(don't like the term motor cause it implies electric)are heavy angled C-ChanneI and use common rubber engine mounts from Summit Racing.

- I incorporated the stock 2-1/4" Exhaust and Muffler with its 360 swivels from 300TD wagon -to-Jeep that can be swiveled from Roof mount to Below XJ with small P.Side floor board mod.

- I have 2 yellow top Optima batteries in this rig that work well and support the many systems/Winch/Glow plugs/Starter/Pumps/Cooling Fans/Hands free phone-CD player..etc. The only thing I didn't complete and wanted to was LED lighting all around.

-The oil pan is the stock upper aluminum portion welded to a custom lower portion to optimize clearance of steering and differential. Oil pan now holds 1qt more and I went with a larger Summit Racing oil cooler that has a separate pusher fan on 190* thermostat.

- XJ HAS ONE OF A KIND FORCED COLD AIR RAM INTAKE that has under water(breathing from inside cab when switched to ven, i.e. your air!) capabilities. Some Check valves and minor mods still needed for a quick complete submerging (all this will be explained with detailed drawings/instructions included) The air cleaner is a common size( I buy Napa) and the Blow-by is one of a kind that has a filter and can be drained and is incorporated into Intake filter housing.

-The fire wall has been modified to except the 617 oil filter as I did not opt to separate from engine.

- XJ has front steering/oil pan skid plate, rear fuel tank ski, transfer case skid, roof rack, custom heavy duty ft/rear bumpers with 4 screw pin shackles, Reese tow bar, tow hitch/receiver, high lift jac, 12k winch and Snatch Block for all those tough wench outs.

- XJ has PS(with filter!)PB, Anti lock brakes,TW, vacuum gauge, turbo boost gauge, altimeter, manual oil psi gauge and many more great mods Like the duel WVO kit that lets you omit other fuels completely when not below Zero. I live in North Washington State and it dipped to -18 a few months ago. I haven't stopped running WVO completely because of the custom heated filters, insulated line, insulated tank and i start and shut down on diesel, also thinning out the 50gal tank of cooking oil with one gallon of kerosene seemed to help tremendously.

-I have 10+years of experience with collecting/running and building kits to run Cooking oil. Some of my builds include a D-1105 Kubota gen-set cogeneration syste, (2)2nd gen Cummins 12 valves and (2)616's and this 617. This is the best WVO kit I've ever built. (I jumped out of the shopping card at 2 years old and fell so hard that my mom said everyone came running to the sound of my head hitting the floor, but I turned out to be Mechanically, Artistically and musically inclined! Go figure) P.s I have detailed drawings and operating instructions, (one of a kind)all built with common parts for this XJ to help facilitate its next owner with the valves and operations of the duel tank conversion, cooling pumps, cooling fans fuel and cooking oil pumps /relays.

-I have custom Mercedes emblems for hood and fenders and dash (included)that I didn't want to picture.

- This is a One of a kind custom EMP PROOF 4x4 that is ready to be towed or stowed, it also has a brand new TOW-BAR. I can drive XJ(up to 100 miles)to your arranged shipping post or you can swing buy my home town to tow Jeep home or tow your rig or car home with XJ running on grease( smell the French fries! )the tank should get you 1100 miles, though probably not towing more than XJ weights + you will have the stock 20 gal gas tank full with Diesel(included) to switch over if needed.

- I understand the thought and tangibility of the title status, the cracked windshield, dents and scratches does against me as seller so i have reduced my asking price substantially and i hold a fair reserve price. I except cash in person, bank to bank wire, Cashiers Check, personal checks(once cleared) and Money Orders. Thanks and good luck bidding preppers!
