1993 Jeep Wagoneer Description

This 1993 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is an original, unrestored, survivor. It has always been adult owned, maintained, cared for and never off roaded. It was towed behind a motorhome occasionally and just used as a pleasure vehicle. It has been a California and Arizona Jeep its whole life and has absolutely no rust and has never been in an accident.
I am selling this Wagoneer for my brother who passed away last December. He really liked this Jeep and was going to finish it up when he retired but unfortunately he ran out of time. I would like to keep it but I need to sell it to help settle the estate. I hope that the new owner will appreciate it and continue to take care of her and give her the home that she deserves.
While this is a nice Wagoneer there are some things that need attention. The clear coat is peeling off the roof and hood(see picture). The wood grain sides are still nice and if someone just painted it from the wood grain up (and did the top of the bumpers) she would look great. (The wood grain on the rear hatch has a little cracking and the surrounds were repainted but present themselves well).
The interior is very nice overall. The dash has no cracks. The leather is nice. The armrest on the drivers door panel has some cracks but I have another nice one that goes with the Jeep. The carpet is good. The only real problem in the interior is that the headliner will sag in spots when the humidity is up. When it is warm and dry it stays in place but when it gets cold and damp it droops/sags in spots.
All the major driveline components are sound. The motor is responsive and doesn't smoke or leak and always starts right up and has great oil pressure. The transmission and four wheel drive all work properly. The only leak is the transfer case is leaking apparently from a seal. The AC blows cold and the climate control works as it should. The power windows all work. The power door locks do not work on the drivers door or drivers side rear door. The radio only works on AM but the power antenna works fine. The power mirrors work as does the Cruise control. All the gauges work. The "Vehicle Information Center" located below the AC controls does not light up and neither does the compass in the overhead console. Both power seats work as they should. All the lights and instrument panel lights work as do the wipers and horn. So all in all the important things are operational. One other thing, if I remember correctly, there an electrical draw if the Jeep sits a while it will drain the battery down. This doesn't happen overnight and I don't remember how long it takes to drain down. We just disconnected the negative battery cable when we put it away. One more thing, the speedometer needle sticks on zero after it sits but will spring back to life once you drive it a while. The odometer works just the speedometer needle sticks. While I am on the topic of odometers, the Jeep has 86,090 actual miles. The title shows it to have 89,000 miles. The reason for this is because the previous owner guessed at the mileage at MVD when he moved from California to Arizona and retitled the Jeep. All you have to do is drive the Jeep another 3,000 miles and everything will match. My brother mentioned this to MVD when he applied for a new title and they said that they easiest way to correct this was to just drive it 3,000 miles and that would remedy the situation. Unfortunately he ran out of time. There is no odometer discrepancy here, only a slight human error that is easily corrected. I would be happy to sign an odometer statement to this effect.
1993 Grand Wagoneers came with most options available but this one also has the Skid Plate Group, the Trailer Tow Group and the Off Road Group. It also has the optional 373 positraction rear axle. I think that the only option it doesn't have is a sunroof. So while it is pretty to look at it also has the ability to go off road.
This is a cool and collectible Grand Wagoneer that just needs to be dialed in. The important parts are there. It just needs to be finished up. With nice early Wagoneers selling between $20-50,000 I think that the last and only ZJ Wagoneers are bound to increase in value and become a solid investment that you can enjoy driving.
The Jeep is located in Payson, Arizona(zip 85541) which is about 75 miles northeast of metro Phoenix. I will assist in any way I can in getting the Jeep delivered to you. Please note that I reserve the right to end the auction early if bidding is sluggish so please do not wait until the last minute to bid to avoid the disappointment of finding the auction closed. Finally, although I have done my best to accurately describe the Wagoneer, it is, of course, sold as is without ant warranty.
