1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The Jeep Grand Cherokee needs absolutely no introduction. It's reputation as a rugged and reliable SUV are known the world over. I would rate the exterior of this Grand Cherokee Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking SUV. It is finished in Flame Red over Tan leather interior, which is a good looking color combination. The bright red finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Grand Cherokee, the worst I can say is that you can see some fading on the top of the bumpers and cladding...not bad for an older truck. All of the cladding and trim are present and show well for their age. As I mentioned before, you can see some visible fading on the upward facing portions of the exterior plastics...no biggie. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a nice set of matching rubber with deep tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how exceptionally clean this Grand Cherokee Limited looks. I would rate the interior of this Jeep to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. As with pretty much every older Jeep, the inserts are curling back a little on the door cards, but I don't see any excessive wear...just some age. The same can be said for the seats. The driver's seat has some stitching that is torn from age, but no excessive wear. All the seats are soft, supple and comfortable. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are also clean and show well for their age. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and appears to be working properly. It seems as if the antenna is not connected because the radio will not tune in a station...it just keeps circling and circling the dial. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it DOES NOT blow cold air. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Jeep. Mechanically, this Jeep Grand Cherokee appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.2L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are very good for an older Jeep. In fact, I haven't had a Jeep that drove this nicely in quite some time as most of these older Jeeps are worn out and neglected. It's refreshing to drive a nice one again. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The optional 5.2L V8 feels strong and makes good power. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The Quadra Trac 4WD system is tested and working properly. This Jeep is a fresh new car trade from right here in Central PA and has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of December, 2017. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
