Up for sale is my overland inspired Jeep Wrangler LJ off-road build. The Jeep itself is a very clean No Rust, well-maintained platform.
I'm selling the Jeep with great regret. I need to consolidate cars and I won't dare torture this Jeep with a 60-mile-per-day drive to work. The Jeep sits on my driveway for 5 days out of the week and occasionally I have the opportunity to take it for a ride around town.
I haven't even had the opportunity to off-road it much despite it having been built for that exact purpose. Sadly we don't have much trails here in Miami and I feel someone in another region will enjoy it much more than I have.
The suspension consists of a Rough Country 4.0" Lift with a set of premium Bilstein 5100s shocks and Energy Suspension Body Mounts. The tie rods and sleeves have been upgraded with Moog heavy duty tie rods which come factory on V8 ZJs.
For added protection I installed a Rough Country front bumper and Smittybuilt rear bumper with carrier. Just in case I get in trouble on the trails, I installed an X20 10k Waterproof winch with Synthetic rope.
The wheels and tires were installed at 165k miles and are 17x9.0 XD129 Holeshot wheels with 315/70/17 Dick Cepek Crusher Tires mounted with some track spacers. I installed a set of the Bushwacker Flat Fender flares for added clearance.
To help push the oversize tires, the Jeep was regeared to 5:13s, and for added traction I installed ARB air lockers at the front and rear. For added strength, I beefed up the differentials with G2 Chromoly Axles and also replaced all the axle seals, bearings, and all other maintenance related components inside the diffs.
As for general maintenance-related repairs I recently serviced the transmission and replaced the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, radiator, water pump, and thermostat. I also replaced the calipers and used EBC yellow brake pads. The front Catalytic converter was replaced as well as all four sensors at 164k miles. The second catalytic converter was removed and a Magnaflow Super 44 muffler was installed, which produces a really nice throttle sound.
Inside of the cab, I installed the BedTred liner and installed Bartact Seat covers. For security there is a Viper alarm and a magnetic kill switch. For added room (and cool factor) a Gr8tops Safari roof was installed which features color-matched paint and interior LED dome lights.
If you're in the market for an LJ and had plans to build one up, spare yourself the grief and take advantage of this well-built Jeep. I have well over $13k invested in parts (itemized list can be provided upon request with prices noted).
