1995 JEEP WRANGLER RIO GRANDE - good body and engine, with frame rust

1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande Description

My 8 year fun car has to go - we are in Warren, CT (northwest CT). The car runs fine and the body is in very good shape, but the frame rust, andrusted out gas tank tub, and exhaust rust,has put the car on the auction block. The gas tank protectivetub has rotted away, and the tank is held in place with a come-along strap. (see pics). The car has a current registration, but cannot be smogged because the tailpipe is rotted out, and the muffler has holes, and the smog time has expired. I assume the registration is therefore suspended for the past few months. If you found a hard charger who wanted to replace the frame damage, and replace the gas tank tub, and exhaust,fine. I know there are shops that specialize in Wrangler frame rust replacement parts and welding. But you will still be stuck with advancing chassis member rusting. If my car is destined for the parts palace, then you will get some choice engine, transmission, interior, and body parts. The car can be driven, but the exhaust noise is fairly big and without a smog inspection I assume my registrationis inactive or suspended pending repairs. I didn't check. Nor would I go out on the streets with no gas tank collision protection. I highly suggest you tow it on your trailer to your place or shop. Comes with a two year old soft top and zip windows.No holes in top or windows. Comes with a bimini-styleshade topalso, same tan color.Removable doors. No hard top. Has a two year old radio with earjack for your phone.Radio and speakers in roll bar work. Functional factory trailer hitch. Rio Grande package. All gauges work. All lights work. Starts and runs smoothly in all gears. 4WD works well. Brakes two years old. Never had an overheating issue. The followingissues exist and are documented in the attached pictures. Muffler holed, tailpipe rusted away, driver's seat torn on left edge all along its length, center divider fabric torn, frame was stiffened for towing by a previous owner, so it has an oversteer, rust atlower quarter panels, rust patch on top of back bumper, paint missing from side mirror supports. Rims have some surface rust.See the pics for the extent of the rust issues. Caris dangerous with the gas tank tub gone, or if the frame fails while moving. Car is therefore sold for parts or full restoration only, not as an operating vehicle. Sold as is, where is, with all faults. Only warranty is for clear title, pink slip is in hand. No liens or loans. Pickup here only, within 7 days of close of auction. Highly suggest a trailer tow, due to noise and above issues.Operate at your own risk. Look carefully at the pics - I have 100% positive feedback, and I do my best at disclosures. I have a video of the car being revved, and the noise from the missing exhaust. Email me if you want it. If you want to test drive it around the block before the auction closes, you are welcome to do so, and bring your mechanic, but I am not driving it anywhere, nor are you, except around the block.
