2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4.0 L. 6 cyl
2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic Description
For Sale is my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic PB PW PS. This is my daily driver and I really hate to see it go. The reason I am selling it because I just crack the heater core and I don't have the funds to fix it. Around the end of June I drove this car from Bellingham WA. to Boise ID, and back and on my way home is when I crack the heater core. I was driving in 100* temps and didn't stop enough to let the car cool down i guess. The motor is very strong, has good power. Car is a perfect candidate for restoration. Has 169,500+ miles. All original and has not been tampered with or altered in any way. Has a few dings, scratches, scrapes and paint chips. Car hood has the most paint chips/peel (see photos) but car is very clean inside and out. Very lite rust if any.
What this car needs. Needs front breaks,(pads getting thin) needs a battery (starts right up but it's something I've been meaning to do, needs a new heater core of course. This passenger side window does not work (rest of the windows work) Drivers seat has a fabric tear and a crack in the plastic (see photo) air conditional works but does NOT blow cold. The engine light just came on due to the heater core. The 4 wheel drive works as it should, I've driven over the pass many times in snow and it's fun to drive. Tires need to be rotated.
A note about the heater core. I still use this as my daily driver and what I do is in the mornings I have a small puddle of radiator fluid on the passenger side floor, I mop that up then I top off the radiator with antifreeze/water and I'm good for the day. when the day is done I park it and repeat the process the next day. I've been using water to top off the radiator because adding antifreeze daily can be expensive. This has been my daily routine for the past few weeks. So the person who buys this may want to fix the heater core 1st this or before winter hits. Other than this issue the vehicle is very strong.
If you are local and want to come test drive or if you need more photos or have questions please call Pat 360-527-5082
This will end up being a great deal for someone who is mechanically inclined. Jeep has been maintained over the years on a regular basis and I do have some receipts.
The accident that you see on the history report was very minor. I was sitting at a red light (1st in line) and the person behind me thought the light had turned green and tapped my bumper.
No smoker, adult owned and never off road.
