1995 Jeep Cherokee SE Description

This listing is for a 1995 Jeep Cherokee with 3" lift. This is not a stock vehicle, so please read the listing carefully!
This Jeep XJ was my project vehicle for a while, but I ended up using it as a daily driver. It has off-road mods, but I've never taken it on anything worse than a dirt road.
I'm the second(ish) owner. The first owner was my aunt, who hardly drove it. It was transferred to my cousin in the same household, who also hardly drove it. It had around 80,000 miles when I took it off her hands.
This was a 2WD Jeep. A mechanic friend and I swapped a 1996 transmission, transfer case, and the front axle from a WJ jeep (so it has a beefier front differential than a stock 4WD XJ). The front drive shaft was never attached to the vehicle, but is included. One of the bolts on the knuckle joint sheared off during the install, so it probably needs to be drilled and tapped.
Because the 1996 transmission uses a different wiring harness than the stock tranny, it does not shift in automatic. I've been manually shifting it for two years with no problems. I've been told that swapping the older TCU harness would fix the shifting, but never tried it. Since many people prefer "manu-matic" in off-road applications, this may not even be an issue for the buyer.
There is typical Jeep Cherokee rust. The driver and passenger floorboards are pretty bad (but it's hard to tell with the heavy duty rubber floormats on there) and the back of the roof is rusted around the corners. There's surface rust in the rear cargo area where the bed liner I sprayed in rubbed away with time.
The vehicle has no carpeting. I ripped it all out once it started getting dirty and just sprayed the floors with bedliner. Some of the interior parts were also painted black with vinyl paint in a partially-successful attempt to change the entire interior. The black seat covers are relatively new.
Here are the other included mods/items:
Aftermarket CD player
Sirius Radio head unit, wired and ready to activate.
Rough Country 3" Lift
Upgraded adjustable lower control arms (I think they were Rusty's -- they cost about $200)
Tinted windows -- but the tint is scratched/peeling in some small spots
Tube Side steps
Hood riser kit
Full size spare on the same style wheel as the other four
Center console cup holders =)
Now for the small things that need fixing:
It needs new tires. These don't have much tread left on them.
It needs an alignment.
The brake pads probably need replacing by now.
I replaced the water pump about three weeks ago (with a brand new part) as well as the fan clutch. Since then, the serpentine belt has been loose and the A/C and power steering whine sometimes. I just never got around to tightening it.
I replaced the fuel pump about three months ago. Apparently, when I put the tank back together, I must have not seated the seal properly. If the tank is more than half full, it will drip from around the fuel pump lock ring. I'm sure someone with more patience than I can fix it in an hour or so.
The last long trip was about 120 miles there and back (when I went to pick up my new car last week) and I had no problems.
All in all, this is a running vehicle with low miles for the year. It can obviously be driven home, but I think it would make an excellent platform for an off-road project since it needs some work anyway.
Can be picked up in Sebring, FL. Sold as is.
