1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with just 120k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck overall. The finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Jeep, you can see some rust holes around the rockers and it looks like the rear bumper pad (the thing on the top of the back bumper to protect it from loading and unloading) has been glued back on. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the cladding and trim are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread left. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Jeep to also be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors and seats all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. The cargo area is spacious and shows well for it's age. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The optional 4.7L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older Jeep. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. You can feel a little play in the front end, but nothing horrible. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure. The 4.7L V8 is smooth and has plenty of power on tap. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. This Jeep has the Quadra-Drive full time 4WD system. Out on the highway, she cruises easily with no complaints. The only thing I caught that you'll probably want to take care of is the brake master cylinder. It has a vacuum leak and you can hear it hissing when you use the brakes. In my road test, the brakes worked normally so I'd see no immediate issue driving it anywhere you'd want to go. Worst case, you just lose power assist to the brakes and you're back in the 1960's for a few days until you get it replaced...but I'd replace it right away, just to be safe. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
