1977 Jeep CJ Description

Frame-off restored 1977 Jeep. High quality replacement parts down to the bushings. It is my pride and joy but I just never drive it and have no room to store it. Actual mileage on this vehicle is 37K. Original engine, transmission, etc. When you drive it, you can tell it has low mileage. Runs fantastic. New bucket seats and leather back seat all with harnesses for safety. There is no CJ like this in the world.

Frame-off restored 1977 Jeep. Used as much original equipment as I could, but for any replacement parts, only high qualityitems were useddown to the bushings and even Grade 8 bolts. I haveover $20,000 invested in this. It is my pride and joy but I just never drive it and have no room to store it. Actual mileage on this vehicle is about 37K (see picture for exact current mileage). Original engine, transmission, etc. When you drive it, you can tell it has low mileage. Runs really well and has passed everyrequired smog test in California!!! New bucket seats in the frontand leather back seat that folds down. Three point harnessesbolted down through the body with Grade 8 bolts and heavy, massive steel washers. I used to take my small kids around in it so I worked really hard on the safety features. There is just no CJ like this in the world.

Naturally, thevehicle is sold "as is." Mechanically, I don't know of any problems in its operation and it runs great -- but this is a 40-year-old vehicle. I steam cleaned the engine and undersidewhich revealed a little leaking. I suspect the gaskets are just old or perhaps dry because I don't drive it enough (that is what the guy said who changes the oil on it anyway). When I got the vehicle, the only issue was some rust. I replaced the entire body tub, which is where 90% of the rust was, but some got on at least one area in the rear of the fram, which I addressed with reinforcement (again, I tried to make this as solid of a vehicle as I could).

That is the good and the bad about this Jeep. In my view, it is basically all good other than little things you might expect from a classic vehicle. If I drive it regularly, it fires right up and runs great. It is so fun.
