Kia Sedona EX 2005 Luxury Mini Van White 153,232 miles Runs n Drives needs work
2005 Kia Sedona EX Description
Up for your consideration...my own personal KIA van. Please read the description carefully before sending questions......I took the time to list many details.I bought it in February with 144,155miles.Since then, I've been working the kinks out, it has a number of new parts with receipts included.I'm selling the KIA because I no longer need it...I found a bigger van that is better suited for me.I've drivin the KIA from Ohio to Florida and back twice, also across Ohio numerous times. The new parts...NEW STRUTS (BOTH)NEW STRUT PLATES/SUPPORTSNEW ALIGNMENTNEW CATALITIC CONVERTERNEW STAINLESS FLEX/MESH PIPE SECTION PRECEDING CONVERTERNEW RADIATORNEW RADIATOR HOSESNEW BATTERYNEW FRONT WHEEL HUB BEARING + NEW ABS SENSOR (STILL NEEDS OTHER WHEEL BEARING...BUT DRIVABLE TO YOUR HOME)The things that need attention...The hood shocks that hold the hood up in the open position are worn and no longer stay up - they need replaced. The leather on the steering wheel has worn on the top side, and discolored, no big problem. Also, the leather driver seat is beginning to unravel at stitching, very minor. The check engine light is on, 2 previous computer scans showed oxygen sensor problem, and a more previous scan showed crankshaft sensor problem, so offhand, not sure what is going on there. The engine was cooling fine up until recently but now I suspect coolant temp sensor, I don't know for sure.As long as you are moving, it cools fine, when you stop and sit for 5 minutes, the temp gauge goes to warmer than normal. Also related with this problem, after the engine is warm, when you shut it off, it won't start again, until its completely cooled down......It cranks, but I can smell gas, so I'm guessing it's a choke related problem associated with coolant temp sensor. As mentioned above, it still needs the other side wheel bearing -it is humming loudly when driven. The engine is makingloud ticking noise, i'm guessing valve noise. It is possible it may be repaired. Offhand,I do not know, I have not addressed these remaining problems yet.Worse case scenario... engine needs replaced...or drive it like it is until it fails. This isthe reason the van is bargain priced and also because I don't have space forit, and I do not want to fuss with it, I have focused my attention to my other van now.The KIA drives excellent, holds the road great, steers great, no vibration, no pulling to either side, no stubborn spots in steering. It brakes perfectly with a high pedal, no pulling, no pulsating and no squeaks or scraping noises. It rides great, it has a kind of sporty feel, firm and responsive. It accelerates very impressively and will throw you back in the seat unless you go very easy on the gas pedal.Automatic transmission shifts excellent with no problems.Air conditioner blows ice cold and will run you out if not turned down.Heater/defroster works fine with no problems.Tires are newer with great tread on them.Body has scrapes on passenger side as pics reveal, and minor dingson sidethat are barely noticeable.Body also has minor scrapes on bumper corners. The only rust on the entire vehicle is some minor discoloration beginning on driver door bottom inside lip edge. All power accessories work fine, including sunroof, front windows, rear windows, door locks, power seat, cruise control. It has a high clarity stereo system with 6 speakers, cd, cassette, etc. and it cranks loudly.Van shows no signs anywhere of ever being in an accident or wreck, all seams etc. are excellent. You are welcome to test drive It, with me being present. You can drive it home, but I recommend replacing the wheel bearing before daily use,as well as addressing the running warmer than usual issue. The buyer agrees to purchase vehicleas is, no warranty.Local pick-up only. No delivery available.$200 deposit due within 24 hours of purchase via paypal.Remaining amount due within 3 days along with avalid picture ID that matches ebay account.Thank you kindly.
