2004 Land Rover Range Rover Description

Please read full description! Car is not drivable! Transmission just went and we have decided not to fix. Car is also having a charging problem (battery keeps dying as if there is a draw somewhere) even though we were advised it was the alternator and just replaced it two weeks before the trans failure.
We purchased this car as a second car a little over a year ago from my uncle who bought it new. Car always serviced at Land Rover Dealer and a local Land Rover shop for basic mechanicals. In the past year we have spent over $7k on the car (alternator, front air bag/suspension, water pump, hoses, radiator, electronic thermostat, all new tires and 4 wheel alignment and front left headlamp assembly (over $1k) after a rock put a hole in it! We have decided to purchase a new car and this one is taking up garage space and needs to go.
Exterior is a 8/10. Some small scratches on front right fender my uncle attempted to paint over ( not noticeable from 5 feet away) and also some screws he put in front bumper cover after the cover was damaged in the car wash. Windshield and all glass good. Wheels are presentable. Lenses all nice.
Interior is 9/10. Back seat and passenger's seat rarely sat in. He used it himself at his winter place and I used it for work in bad weather. When home it was used for local errands by the rest of the family.
Safe solid tank. Smooth as silk to drive (when it was drivable). Hitch and picnic basket plus both keys and all manuals. Always garaged and I have not seen any rust on the car. Rear back up sensor is finicky and cd changer inoperable. Climate control perfect and all other electronics function as they should.
Book is $10k (in a perfect world). Looking for a fair price. To someone who has the know how, a trans swap should be a non-issue. Don't want to part it our as its too decent but I will if need be to recoup some of my loss.
Car is in northwestern NJ and can be seen by appointment. Don't bid without asking questions. Car for sale locally and I reserve the right to terminate the auction at any time. I also reserve the right to cancel bids I determine may be bogus or bidders with little/no feedback/negative feedback. Until the first time I listed this item, I have always had REAL buyers who follow through...like I said, until the previous time I listed. Bid to own or don't bid!
