1966 Land Rover Series IIA Description

THE CAR

1966 Land Rover Series IIA Long Wheel Base – A very collectable version of the off road legend, this has the 4 cylinder diesel engine in a pickup truck configuration with two seats up front and benches at the back to seat 6 in total.

This is a European model (hence no VIN in this listing - eBay does not recognize non-imported VINs) and so is left hand drive from original. Although it is over 25 years old, and therefore exempt from EPA and DOT regulations, it may require some modification to conform with local regulations.

Registered and currently securely stored in France, the car will come with clear title and other papers and be prepared for either Ro/Ro (roll on / roll off) or container shipping as per buyer's preference.

SHIPPING & INSURANCE

The final selling price INCLUDES shipping (Ro/Ro to Baltimore) which also includesreceipt at the port of departure warehouse, preparation ofexport condition report, export Customs clearance, THC (Terminal Handling Charges), AES (Automated Export System) filing, BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor - for fluctuations in oil prices), WARFAGE (charges by the terminal at the port of departure for moving the goods around).

Other ports and type of shipping would need to be quoted for but as a guide LCL (shared container with other vehicles to New York adds $450* and FCL (own 20ft container) another $1600*.

The final selling price INCLUDES insurance (all risk, damage, fire, theft & loss) for the duration of shipping (at and between ports).

The final selling price DOES NO INCLUDE destination charges at the port of arrival.

PURCHASE PROCESS – The transaction is spread over three payments:

Initial deposit - Upon the auction finishing we require payment of a small deposit within 24 hours. This covers us for preparing the item for shipping and logistics for delivering it to the port of departure. The deposit is refundable should we be unable to deliver the item for shipping within its allotted schedule. You will receive an invoice detailing all charges, including our terms & conditions of business.

Shipping deposit – Payment of all shipping fees falls due at the point of booking (it is advised to do this without delay in order to secure space on the preferred ship).

Final payment – the balance becomes payable 3 working days prior to the date the item is required at the port of departure, as dictated by the shipping company. This can be paid any time up to the deadline and, if preferred by the client, can be held in escrow (related fees shared equally between Docteur Moteur and buyer), to be released to Docteur Moteur upon loading of your item for shipment).

ABOUT US - Docteur Moteur is an Anglo-French business started in 2011 exporting light commercial vehicles and spares to France and other EMEA countries. While we export a lot from UK, we also export from France and are based in London, UK and Montpellier, in S. France - a great place to find rare, unusual or just sought-after vehicles. We are constantly on the lookout and when we find something interesting we pair it up with a buyer; acting as broker by securing the vehicle and managing its transportation to them.
