2005 Land Rover LR3 SE Sport Utility 4-Door Description

2005 LR3 SE. Do not be discouraged about the previous salvage title on this vehicle because the claim was made by our dealership and we have been driving this vehicle for almost two years since the claim. Two years ago in Dallas our lot got flooded from the heavy rains. The water got up to the door sill on many of our vehicles and our insurance company (required by our policy and lenders) were totaled. Of all the vehicles we chose to keep this particular unit and pay the salvage value and utilize it as our shop car. We sell Rovers and this vehicle has been used for traveling to auctions all over the US and picking up customers, parts etc.

She is very reliable. The water never broke into the car. The carpets and all the interior is all original and it was not compromised because rovers are made to ford in water deeper then the door sills. We have put 27000 miles on it and all maintenance is up to date. It has new front struts, alternator, battery, air suspension pump and trans service. It just passed the Texas DMV safety inspection. It will need rear brake rotors and pads in a few thousand miles and these parts are cheap at under 150 dollars. The radio works for months at a time and sometimes the volume goes off. This is due to a software update that needs to be done. This is a common problem on 2005-06 vehicles and has tons of info on forums. This car has been a Texas car all its life so it does not suffer from any rust/salt damage etc. but the sweltering heat in Texas does effect vehicles. The dash has cracked from heat. The roof paint has some fade from heat/sun damage. We added some LR4 takeoff rims we had to update the look a little.
