2003 Land Rover Range Rover HSE Description

This is a good running Range Rover HSE. It has been tested extensively in town and on the highway and it does run very well.
I have tried to the best of my ability to describe/state all I know about the truck. I am not however a qualified mechanic and there may be other defects which are not apparent to me. The exterior and interior show normal wear and tear for the year and mileage. Please look at all the pictures in detail as they are an important part of the listing.
The engine starts first time and idles smoothly. The transmission engages and shifts well also. there are no warning lights on at this time.
Electrical components and accessories have been tested and checked out ok. These include power windows, door locks, sun roof, air conditioner, radio and remote door locks. The trucks airmatic suspension is fully functional and the truck can be raised and lowered as stated in the users manual. The truck has 4 decent tires and the brake pads have more than 50% life left.
DEFECTS
There are 4 defects noted on this truck
1. The right side air suspension strut is weak. The truck will sag at that corner if left for a while but will rise up when airmatic switch is activated. I have inspected the other airmatic struts. The 2 in front and the left side rear look like they have been recently replaced. The right side rear one does look like the original one that came from the factory. It will need to be replaced. They cost about $250 at strutmasters. The truck drives ok even with this defect. Its just a bit bouncy at the back.
2. there are some paint blemishes on the hood and front bumper. Please see pictures
3. The glove box will not latch and stay closed
4. The ignition key will not turn in the lock unless a small toggle switch beside it is flipped on and off and left for 15 secs. This causes the lock to release. (Previous owner rigged this but it works just fine)
