1 OWNR 1995 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER COUNTY LWB 188K ORIG MILES RUST FREE CLASSIC
1995 Land Rover Range Rover COUNTY Description
Solid, rust-free 1995 LandRover Range Rover Classic, in Long-Wheelbase configuration ( LWB). This Range Rover is a solid, ONE-OWNER California Land Rover, residing in California its entire life since being sold newbyLR of the Central Valley in CA. It has resided in rural Brentwood its entire life.
This Classic is a LWBSeries in County trim, completely stock andoriginal. Low 188.9K original miles, low for a well-travelled Range Rover. It starts, idles and driveswell, quietly and smoothly on both town and on the highway.
There isNO rust nor corrosion on this vehicle, as it would be expected from a California-lived Range Rover ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Land Rover beyond the Sierra mountains). BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS COMING FROM THE EAST COAST~! ( it's beyond me why anyone would want to buy an East coast car with potential hidden rust ).
This LWB Classic comes fully equipped with most standard features and amenities available at that time. Clean factory-optionalTWR alloy wheels, along with a nice set ofradial tires mounted on them ( with approximately 80% tread remaining).
NO NIGHTMARISH EAS (air suspension) option to contend with, a n extremely troublesome and very expensive issue to repair.Normal coil &strut suspension. NO air-deflation nightmares ever! The last-year Classics are the most desirable to own, with the one-year-only revised interior, upgraded suspension, chrome bumpers front and rear, one-year-only "crush can" bumper stops and Factory Safari package Level II: Front brushguards, headlight guards, taillight guards, HELLA 100 auxiliary lights and Tow package.
Stock 4.2Lengine ( available for only 3 years and only in the LWB) runs very well. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 4.2 motor was a vast improvement over the earlier 3.9 engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor.
NO overheating issues, ticking nor noises to contend with. Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears.Four-wheel Power disc brakes brake smoothly without pulsation. The usual ABS/ TC lights come on and off ( as a result of having bypassed the EAS). Power steering and Power windows ( all four work), Power mirrors, sliding moonroof ( does not leak), Powerseats, cruise control, stereo andA/C.
Finish is Plymouth Blue color. Still shines quite nicely. The body, chassis and undercarriage are super solid considering this Classic is twenty one years young !
There are a few scratches here and there and small areas where the clear has aged, expected after all these years. This LWB is sold unrestored, and the opening bid more than reflects that, at a quarter of what a finished LWB would cost.
There is NO oxidation of the clearcoat on thehood or roof, a common ailment on many Rovers, specially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll on the body panels and undercarriage, a hindrance nearly impossible to repair!
Its original Connolly upholstery is in very good condition and has held up very well. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather in the seats. Both front seats were reupholstered back in February, along with a complete brand-new headliner from end to end ( to include new dome lights). Overall, aclean interior, door panels, factory carpeting and trunk area. I also have a spare cargo area 2-piece carpet that I will include if desired.
The photos show the LWB accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle, ever. A very solid, rust-free unrestored 1995 Range Rover LWB Classic, the one toown, with better-than-average miles and a good 4.2L engine. It runs well with a strong, solid powertrain.Clean chassis, no tweaks and NO rust and nice interior. It will make an excellent restoration candidate, great traveler, camping vehicle or just a fun Land Rover to drive aroundas it is.
I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years, and have owned various models and vintages.Last-year Classics are the most sought-after. Unlike the vast majority of sellers who simply sell what they do not know ( let alone car dealers!), Iown a Land Rover ( actually, I own four:a SWB, a 2010 Sport and twoDiscovery IIs, including a 2000 DII TreK) and I am fairly familiar with all their quirks.
Feel free to call me with questions at (650) 430-4660 PST. I have priced this Classic way below market to sell.Classics are the best investment for the money, specially the rarer 1995 LWBs with many one-year-only upgrades.
I am also advertising this vehicle in other venues, and as such, I reserve the right to end this listing at any time. Rust-free Range Rover Classics are getting harder and harder to find without them being all rusted out, a ton of miles on them, or having to pay a premium for a restored example, usually starting at around $25K.
Payment to be received within THREE business days please. It can be made via Cashier's check or money order(s).
