1994 Range Rover Classic LWB
126,000 miles
I got this Rover from a friend who had been chasing an idle issue for months (Rover kept dying when he put it into gear). While driving it, he popped the lower radiator hose and had someone tow him to a shop a few miles away. He hooked the tow strap to the drag link and bent the drag link, so now he had this Rover at a shop that wouldn’t idle and needed a lower radiator hose and drag link. Apparently this pushed him over the top. I bought it from him, replaced the hose and drag link, replaced the IAC valve and found the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator had fallen off leaving a giant vacuum leak at the manifold and no fuel pressure regulation. I also did a full tune up with cap, rotor, plugs, wires and cleaned the fuel injectors. I already have a 95 Classic LWB, and my wife told me the question that I can’t have 2, so here it is for you!
Seats and interior are in really great shape, minus the wood trim. The trim is actual wood and the finish tends to peel off as seen in the pictures. The tint on the windows is starting to bubble and come off. The driver’s side rear quarter panel is dented, but as these are aluminum panels, they can be easily replaced. (I had to do one in my current LWB and they are common parts with the standard wheel base model) The stereo is a real treat and almost fits in the opening (see pictures) Heated windshield is in good shape but has 2 pits that have both been repaired. One of the fog light lenses has fallen off and it previously had a brush bar installed, so the air dam has 2 cut outs for the former bar. Tires are nearly new, all the windows work, power seats work, air conditioning does not work and needs to be recharged, but within the last year, the heater core was replaced. Air suspension was replaced with coils and Bilstein shocks, and somehow, the exhaust ends at the muffler. It is missing the tailpipe after the muffler.
Is this Classic perfect, no. Is it a great start for someone to get into an awesome LWB Classic for cheap? Undoubtedly. I want to see it go to a good home, so I have no reserve set. I will help with shipping as needed, or if you want to drive it home, I have a major airport within 45 minutes of me and can come pick you up.
