2001 Land Rover Range Rover 30th Anniversary Special Edition Description

30th Anniversary Edition 2001 Land Rover Range Rover HSE 4.6L Automatic SUV. Being sold for parts or repair. Registered until 3/2/2017 with current CA plates (plates go with vehicle). It does not start or run, will need to be towed off the ground. Clean history of maintenance and no accidents or mechanical issues. The maple wood and leather smell wonderful -newish - and the interior is clean. This is one of a reported 220 of this Special Edition. Originally sold for over $69,000. Exquisite design.
Overheated on past owner who promptly had it towed to a rural repair shop who gave him a $50 diagnosis stating it had coolant in the oil. They were not qualified to do a head gasket job, suggesting it may need an engine once they got into it. I was told everything else was working fine on the Rover when it overheated. The only other issue was a message stating that the 2 front windows and sunroof were not set, even though they were closed. I purchased it as it had been sitting for 4 months with no battery and no work done on it to repair or assess problems. I Installed the recommended new NAPA battery and was preparing to work on it when I suffered an accident involving a concussion and back injury. I won't be working on any cars for an unknown duration, so I'm selling for such a deal.
Minor Imperfections: There is some wear on the front driver's seat including a small worn hole (pictured). The driver's right armrest is worn. The cushions of the front seats show signs of wear, and could be refreshed, as they have not been treated. Back seats are excellent. One small poke hole (1/4") in one door interior leather. The radio is not all together and some parts may not be working or may be missing. Could not get sound when I turned radio on. There is some clearcoat fading on the roof, above the windshield from the washer fluid. There are 2 small spots where the paint has minor blemishes ( a few inches), barely noticeable. The front wrap-around Safari guard and roof rack have has been repainted flat black. The roof rack shows 2 spots with sub-surface rust. Tires are in fair condition.
