1995 Land Rover Discovery SD Description

Why a '95 Land Rover Discovery? It marks the end of an era/heritage of minimal electronics- still has a distributor, and an ECU for fuel injection, manual seats, and cheap parts as they still interchange with numerous Land Rover models. So, why this particular Discovery? I bought it from an enthusiast in California who used it for desert exploration- hence the need for extreme reliability. He had the heads done prophylactically at 100k as well as new cooling system and dual batteries. I had the truck shipped east to NC and refreshed bushings, springs, and shocks. I then added new RTE rear bumper and new RTE sliders,ARB front bumper with a Warn 8000XD winch, Hella lights (not yet wired), new rear LR light guards, rear ladder, half roof rack (which maintains original roof rails and is extremely quiet), new hood black out, and Disco II cupholders. The Disco is an SD7 base model with sunroofs and seating for 7 with manual seats up front, which are in great condition! The old girl has benefitted from original LR HD mats front to rear. All fluids have been flushed/baselined, and she has minimal to no leaks. New KM1 tires just fitted- how you ask? I had a set of 5 removed from an original '03 TReK Discovery, stored in individual plastic bags in a utility room with no light- so no rot or weather checking!Issues?? Well, all electrics are working properly, though I never use the cruise and cannot attest to it's functioning. There is a small square of tinting missing on the second row driver side window, some tint bubbling on the right Alpine window, a few bumps and bruises, but no rust found anywhere! The headliner is letting go, and likely the next item in need of refurb. Front door trays are missing- likely removed by PO. Overall, a very nice example ready to drive anywhere.
Please note, she is a used British 4x4 aprox 22 years old- not new by any means. Prebid inspection is welcome- encouraged in fact! Failure to do so does not remove buyer's responsibility to confirm all details of the vehicle, as people have greatly varied perspectives.
Please read all the above, look at the pictures, ask questions, but do not bid if you are not going to fulfill your purchase responsibilities! I have a small window of time to get several vehicles and parts sold and shipped before my upcoming surgeries, and appreciate your sincerity to purchase pursuant to the terms listed. Bidders with less than 10 transactions or feedback less than 100% must contact me prior to bidding, or your bid will be removed.
A little explanation as to why I am listing several vehicles and parts. The past 4 years have included several surgeries, and I have a couple yet to go. I have been a motorcycle/car/4x4 enthusiast for 45 years in the driver's seat, and being an engineer, am a bit fanatical about my rigs, and have managed to travel Central America, all 50 States, and all Canadian Provinces in my own vehicles numerous times without a breakdown. No chest beating, just a testimony to my build standards and maintenance schedules. I have purchased a new F-150 'do-it-all' with extended warranty for the first time ever!! My plan is to enjoy traveling with my family and not be in the shop building/tinkering/modding numerous vehicles. Feel free to visit thervrbarn sold page for examples of my passion over the years. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding!!
