I am selling my 1985 Land Rover Defender 110. I purchased this truck while overseas in Italy. It is left hand drive. I brought it to Germany and then imported it to California. Over the last 10k miles, I have put a Turner Engineering short block in it while converting it from 2.5NA to 200TDI with original defender ancillaries from another Defender 200TDI. I have rebuilt the turbo. I also replaced the transmission and transfer case (LT77 and LT230) with rebuilt ones from Ashcroft. The transfer case has upgraded parts in it as well. I have rebuilt the front axle with new bearings, seals, CV joints, hubs and an Ashcroft built 3rd member with an Ashcroft air locker in it. It has a aftermarket center console in the dash to house the switches for the winch, lights, auxiliary electric fan, arb compressor, locker switch, radio and clock. The winch is an X20 by Smittybilt. At one point, I pulled all of the interior out and Herculined the inside. Some of it has peeled up in places as seen in the pictures. the rear axle has new HD hubs. I have also replaced the front and rear drive shafts. It has rock sliders, rear bumperettes, a rear spare tire carrier that I have converted to hold a 50 cal ammo can, a can of diesel, and a hi-lift jack.It has a 2 inch lift with castor corrected radius arms and rear dislocation cones. It also has a skid plate for the front steering components and a winch bumper similar to an ARB one. The front seats are from a PUMA. I also have a center seat that could go between the two front seats if you wanted to install it and the extra seat will come with the truck. The center console between the two front seats is out of a Defender PUMA. I have 2 large boxes of extra parts that come with this truck. The frame appears to be in good shape. I have replacement marker lights and galvanized trim for the rear of the vehicle, additional checker plate that goes over the rear quarter panel lowers behind the wheels for both sides. The truck also comes with an extra starter, a snorkel, tow pintle with ball, a bunch of extra gaskets, a new master cylinder for the brakes, a new windshield gasket that needs to be installed. I just replaced the radiator. I will update the ad if I think of any further info about this great truck. I drove it to work every day in Germany and Italy and it runs great. I legally imported it into the US and it has a clean California title. I have all of the import documents as well as a certified copy of its build sheet from the British motor museum. It is over 32 years old with 288k kilometers on the clock, so there are many things to replace. Lucky for you, I have replaced most of the critical things.....The vin is SALLDHMC8BA234637. EBay does not accept it as a valid VIN due but that is the British VIN number that appears on the vehicle and title. The truck comes as-is. Please message me for further details and for more pictures. Please do not bid if you are not prepared to buy.
