1985 Land Rover Defender Description
This a 1985 Defender 90 purchased from Skytop Rovers in Philadelphia in 2012. It had been driven regularly until my relocation to South Carolina in 2014 at which point it was garaged and driven rarely. It has a small oil leak that is tolerable and needs paint, body work and some TLC. The door edges have some rot and thewindshield framewas previously repaired with body filler. The front crossmembers of the frame had also been replaced and the welds are in good shape. The tires have less than 500 miles on them and there is a new starter andignition switch. This is a UK version with a right hand drive and 2.5 liter naturally aspirateddiesel engine. It's original restoration was started in the UK where the frame was repaired and the seats were replaced. Some engine work was done at Skytop to repair the oil leak. It's a good truck that needs some minimal rehab to be on the road or is a good foundation for a major restoration.
