I bought this car when it had 50K miles and have never had a single issue.
Luckily, i had the WHOLE Hybrid battery replaced and the hybrid software updated under warranty recently (the Lexus hybrid system warranty covers up to 8 years/100K miles).
The GS450h was and still is one of the fastest hybrids you could buy. It has 339HP! It is actually faster than the V8 version of the GS.
Instantaneous torque.
CVT transmission is super smooth, its like the car has one gear that just keeps climbing. So unlike a typical 5 or 6 speed transmission, this car has one long gear, making it smooth and fast, hence no gear changes, almost like a speed boat.
It has a SNOW mode option, that does surprisingly well in snow (I have driven in up to 5 inches of snow before).
The 2008+ GS models were updated with the newer Navigation systems, along with fresher looking front bumper/fascia. The side mirrors also added LED blinkers for a much more modern look. They usually fix all the kinks in the 1st or 2nd year models of a new design. You can see a full list of updates with the 08+ models on Edmunds.com
