2004 Lexus SC Description

2004 SC430, Gold (Egyptian Sand Pearl) with Saddle Leather interior. All records. Immaculate condition.Flaws--Small scratches on two of the wheels where they rubbed curbs, two small scratches on trunk lid, small indentation in left rear seat where a box corner sat for too long, slight 'peppering' on front from road dust. All these are visible in the photographs. The run flat tires (the car came factory equipped with either run-flats or standard tires--though run-flats were by far the most common) have been replaced with standard tires. I have also purchased a factory new donut spare that fits in the trunk (the spot for the spare is molded into the trunk). The original carpet and cover have NOT been cut out for the tire so the car can be converted back to run-flat tires if desired. The run-flat tires were IMO the only flaw in this car as they affected the ride (harsher) and handling. All work has been done by Lexus dealerships with the possible exception of an oil change or two, battery replacement and other non-critical items. All mechanical and electrical equipment functions like new, including the top which retracts in about 30 seconds. Several common problems that occur with time on this car have been taken care of.In the interest of full disclosure, the mechanic told me that the slight pulsing of the brakes when applied at high speed (I hadn't noticed) was due to the rotors and would be taken care of when they were resurfaced when next the brakes were replaced (they have a ways to go yet). Also, the timing belt is scheduled to be replaced at or before 90,000 miles (which is a $500 item at a good independent shop). There are no leaks (oil or water, in or out) or other mechanical or electrical problems. This is a great, reliable vehicle, very easy to drive around town, great for long trips, but fast and sporty if you like.
