2002 Lexus RX Description

02 LEXUS RX 300--1 OWNER--87,500 MILES--DEALER MAINTAINED--ALL RECORDS--LOOK!!
I’m selling my mother’s Lexus for her as she just purchased a new vehicle that is due to arrive in a couple of weeks. It is available for immediate purchase as she can use one of my cars until her new vehicle arrives. It is located at area code 07748 in New Jersey and I encourage those individuals local to come and see it in person.

Local pickup is preferred. Non-local buyers are responsible for paying shipping costs.

My cell is (908) 675-7164 and I welcome any phone calls to set up a viewing of the vehicle or to answer any questions that you may have.

The vehicle is also being listed locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.

I’ve been following recent sales of these vehicles and I have set a LOW RESERVE.

Please read the entire listing. I’ve tried to list the major concerns when buying a used car, but I’ll let the pictures do the talking. I did a quick detail prior to taking the pictures to give an accurate idea of what the buyer is getting. I’m a car enthusiast and I feel that I take better than average care of my vehicles or in this case my mother’s vehicle.

Thank You,

Mike

All keys from when purchased new

Additional NEW remote key purchased and programmed at dealer in 2015

NEW Hankook tires installed at dealer with alignment in 2015

NEW Battery installed by AAA in 2015

WeatherTech floor liners installed in the front and rear along with the trunk cargo liner since the vehicle was new. (Carpeted floor mats and carpeted trunk mat underneath are in amazing condition!!)

Interior is MINT. You really need to see it to understand. Free of any smells/stains/rips. The AC even has a nice clean smell to it when it’s on from being properly maintained at the dealer. Non-smoking owner since new.

Exterior shows signs of wear and tear consistent with a black vehicle from 2002. Some scratches/small dents are present on the body of the vehicle. Areas of the plastic bumpers/paneling show some wear. Vehicle has always been garage kept since new and it shows with the condition of the exterior and how it shines. Headlights are not cloudy. Windshield is not pitted or cracked. Overall, it is a much better example than most RX 300s that I’ve been seeing for sale lately. It was just used for her to go to and from work locally so the high mileage highway driven vehicle issues are not present here.

Mechanically PERFECT. My mom was crazy about getting every little thing done at our local dealer. Preventative maintenance services were performed at various mile increments to ensure proper operation. Every oil change, brake service, etc was done at Ray Catena Lexus in Oakhurst, New Jersey. No warning lights of any kind are currently on the dash. Tires are all evenly worn and installed last year at the same time with a proper alignment.

DAMAGE: Years ago my mother backed into our metal mailbox and dented the area under the driver side tail light and cracked the tail light housing. The tail light housing was replaced by the dealer after the incident with an OEM part, but the dent still remains and I did an at home repair job with OEM paint. This does show up on the CarFax report because it seems that the dealer reported the damage. It was not an accident, only her backing into the mailbox as previously stated. From what local body shops have told me it’s an easy repair. She just never had the desire to fix it as it looked good enough with the new tail light housing installed and my at home repair using OEM paint.
