My mother bought this car for me when I went away to school back in 2004 at an estate sale from a lady whose husband had recently past away. Then, it had 151,000 miles and now it has 267,000 miles and still runs like the first day I drove it. I have kept up meticulously on all the maintenance of this car with a trusted mechanic who we have been going to for years back home. I drove this car to and from school, to and from the beach where I lived for a while, and back and forth between CO and NC a few times so it has a lot of highway miles on it. The car has never been in an accident.
This car is great in the mountains and snow. It has a power setting that helps get up steep hills, and it is front wheel drive and heavy so it does pretty well in the snow.
I am selling this car because one, I found a good deal on a newer car. And two, this car is getting old and cosmetically could use some work. The front passenger door does not open from the outside, the windshield has a large crack, the headlights are dim, and the clear coat layer has chipped off the top of the car. It also has a few minor scrapes and dents and the CD player face plate has a loose connection so it does not work. Other than that stuff I will hate to see this car go. It has been nothing short of dependable and I would have loved to see that odometer hit the big 300,000.
