1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible 4 Door
This is a very nice driving Lincoln convertible that is the last of an era. It is the final year of the four door convertible body style and represents the refined sophistication of the times. It is an ultimate luxury machine for 1965.
This Lincoln is an excellent original car that still has original leather upholstery throughout. The door panels are original and are excellent and the carpets appear original too. The top may have been replaced and it shows some wear but it is very presentable. The top functions flawlessly through the entire cycle of up and down with all the sequential folding of the trunk lid and top frame. Email me for a video. The body has had one repaint in the original color of “Desert Sand”. It appears to be lacquer and would polish up nicely. I can see no evidence of any rust in the body anywhere. One bumper corner has a bit from the exhaust. There are a couple of small blems but this is a very nice driver quality car that runs great.
The 430 engine starts immediately and runs smoothly. The transmission shifts as it should and the power steering works as new. This is the first year for front disc brakes and they work well to stop this 5000 lb. car.
The tires are brand new radials with a narrow whitewall. The mileage shows as 78,997 and although we have no reason to doubt that is original we cannot be 100% sure.
The dash is excellent. Strangely there is no air conditioning. It must have been a delete at the original buyers request as I have not seen another without air.
The car drives very well and is as smooth as silk on the road. Steering is easy and suspension is great. This is a very solid low mileage driver that can be enjoyed as is. Please feel free to email for more photos. The car is advertised and we reserve the right to remove it from ebay. Car sold as-is. Thanks for your interest.
